Welcome to bigsoccer, Soccer Rocker USA. I think you make an excellent suggestion. The problem you are having is that you came to the wrong forum to voice your opinion. Posters over here are not nice, they put new members down and they are sarcastic. If you want to be heard, I suggest you visit the World Rivalries forum and open a thread over there in order to make your suggestion about banning the word 'football'. World Rivalries is where things get done. I am sure you will see some prompt action taken. Good luck.

The ruling is out! I've contacted Mr Blatter and he agreed to dissolve FIFA and start a new entity called SIFA (Soccer IOnternational Federation Assosiation). So, THERE!
So I am curious, does this have other ramifications which as of yet have not been considered? For example, where do we play "soccer"? On a "pitch" or on a "field"? And do I wear "boots" or "shoes"? Is the ref in fact a "wanker"? Maybe we need a new Big Soccer dictionary.
Damn. I find this one when there is more red than in the Tomato Festival!! Given that I now live in the UK, I am constantly confused by words used (soccer and football being a prime example). I must add that it is also an insult on my religion to call soccer football because in our last meeting, Mitt Romney himself told me that when Jesus visited the US, he asked to play a game of football with the faithful and they all played American football. Jesus knows best. PS I do sincerely hope that Mr Soccer Rocker USA is not an English sock trying to be funny and give the Americans a bad name.
