Mozer and Papin @ Marseille Papin and Dietmar Hamann @ Bayern Munich Hamann and Speed @ Newcastle Yesterday, Michael Schumacher celelbrated 20 years in F-1. Ashley Young scored two great goals. >>>>>>>>>>> Toni Schumacher(not Michael) to Ashley Young.
Schumacher and Tony Woodcock at Cologne Woodcock and Viv Anderson at Nottingham Forest/Arsenal Anderson and Paul Ince at Man Utd Ince and Michael Owen at Liverpool Owen and Young at Man Utd I wonder if these would be possible for F1 too , eg Keke Rosberg to Robert Kubica. Talking about cars..... Franz Carr to Kaka
Nick Heidfield was with Williams and he can be traced back to Keke Roseger. This should be easy!Franz Carr and Dwight Yorke @ Aston Villa Yorke and Beckham @ Man Utd Beckham and Seedorf @ AC Milan Seedorf and Kaka @ AC Milan >>>>>>>>> Mueller(Brazilian striker, WC 1990, 1994) and Thomas Mueller
You beat me on the Franz Carr one (I was thinking of going through Johnny Metgod at Real Madrid and think I could do it in 5). I'd best not derail this too much into F1, but I was also thinking of Heidfeld but I was going to double-check whether I could start with Nelson Piquet and Keke Rosberg (at Brabham maybe??) I'll have a go at Muller and Muller unless anyone beats me to it. After that I'm thinking of offering John Robertson (played in WC '82 and '78 for Scotland) and John Robertson (played for Scotland in '90's).
Muller and Rai at Sao Paolo Rai and David Ginola at PSG Ginola and Jurgen Klinsmann at Tottenham Klinsmann and Mehmet Scholl at Bayern Scholl and Philipp Lahm at Bayern Lahm and Thomas Muller at Bayern John Robertson to John Robertson as above
John Robertson and Peter Shilton at Nottingham Forest Shilton and Ted McMinn at Derby McMinn and Derek Ferguson at Rangers Ferguson and John Robertson at Hearts New offering: Jimmy Hartwig to Darren Anderton
Thanks for solving my obscure one (on the theme of the same named players like some others but perhaps confusing). Good Scottish knowledge there . I did think of a route with just 3 links but only because I had a recolllection from somewhere of Paul Goddard playing for Derby with Shilton, and some Newcastle fan on a train last year mentioned Robertson playing for Newcastle where I think he would've been Goddard's team-mate.
My line of thinking was a bit less calculated. I just went for Shilton, knowing how many clubs he had played for, and then worked from there.

Jones --> Wise @ Chelsea Wise --> Zola @ Chelsea Zola --> Di Chiara @ Parma Di Chiara --> Gattuso @ Perugia Jones --> Durie @ Chelsea (???) Durie --> Gatusso @ Rangers
I'm pretty sure Durie left before Jones joined Chelsea. You could do: Jones & Dennis Wise (Wimbledon or Chelsea) Wise & Brian Laudrup (Chelsea) Laudrup & Gatusso (Rangers) How about Kevin Keegan to Kevin Kuranyi?
Keegan --> Jakobs @HSV Jakobs ---> Golz @HSV Golz ---> Babbel @HSV Babbel --> Kuranyi stuttgart Von Heesen joined one year to late else you could have skipped one step.
No, I don't think so.... that would be very, very easy. schwuppe, you have to come up with new names for the next connection.
José Augusto Torres and Teixeirinha @ Estoril-Praia Teixeirinha and Helder @ Estoril-Praia Helder and Armando Alvarez @ Deportivo Coruna Armando Alvarez and Fernando Torres @ Atletico Madrid Gabriel Heinze to Tostao
Tostao played with Roberto Dinamite at Vasco de Gama Dinamite played with Romario also at Vasco de Gama Romario played with Jordi Cruyff at Barcelona Cruyff played with Giggs at Manchester United who played with Heinze Robbie Folwer to Marco Tardelli
Robbie Fowler to Marco Tardelli would be way too easy due to the Ian Rush Juventus connection. So let's gomwith Robbie Fowler to Carlos Valderrama instead.
