Brazilian Ronaldo was taken to the WC squad when he was 17 years old but did not get minutes. I think it would be the same for Lainez. I'd rather take him to a copa america / copa oro tourny and have him be a sub and test him there before considering a WC. At 17 years old he still has alot of growth to go, when ronaldo was 17 he got around the same apps as Lainez has had so far . Brazilian Ronaldo went to PSV at 18 years old so I expect Lainez to go abroad at 18 aswell.
exactly just for the experience since it seems hes the next generations talented player, maybe if hes lucky gets minutes. granted hes been getting his playing time with America, and if that keeps going I would think hes ready, its not like he's a fringe player hes becoming a professional really quickly
Hell no. Osorio is garbage and I don't want him anywhere near his process. He has set us up to be humiliated in one tournament and swept aside in like 7 min in another. Why expose one of our rising talents to the potential disaster and shit storm anyone playing the WC will experience if we suck? Lainez needs to focus on becoming a starter for America, and becoming champ so that he can walk onto the NT with some clout. No emerging star have 10 minutes of game time treatment.

Si, si llega a ser titular con el América de aquí al mundial y juega bien, como lo ha hecho hasta ahora. Sobre todo por la experiencia, sería genial que Lainez a una temprana edad conociera lo que es el ambiente de una justa mundialista. Le sería muy útil porque Diego pinta para ser de los mejores jugadores mexicanos en el futuro. Por ejemplo yo hubiera llevado al "Tecatito" Corona en lugar de Brizuela en el 2014. Y sin exagerar, sobre la cancha consideró más útil a Lainez que a tipos como Gio o Damm.

Me caga el América por ser un equipo pro extranjeros, y por ser el juguete de Televisa(una empresa que le ha hecho mucho daño a la sociedad mexicana e impulsora del PRI) pero si el América es campeón con Edson y Lainez siendo importantes, me pondría feliz por ellos.
