He's currently in camp with LAFC. https://www.angelsonparade.com/2018...iko-czornomaz-lafc-players-preseason-friendly
he's better off leaving, RB is a rubbish club that likes to pretend cares about youth players but here's their deal. 1-Their coach does not trust any youth players that lack experience 2-Coach Hasenhuttl recently said that it's highly unlikely that youth players from the Academy will be given any chances this season. 3-Also stated that he thinks it makes sense for youth players to leave the club as they need developement which he acknowledge they might not get. And maybe one day will decide to come back, uh. Is he nuts? Why would anyone comeback when they were never given the chance. 4-They loaned in a LW English player called Ademola Lookman for the rest of the season, so you would rather train this guy brought on loan with no purchase option than play your own Academy players, ok that makes perfect sense...... 5-They have no reserve team so once your past 19, they are unlikely to keep you around and are more likely to loan you out to get experience or not use you at all unless massive injuries happen. Which is the role of like 2-3 players at the club, they are the backups. 6-Very close to buying 16 year old Umaro Embalo from Benfica for $15+M but seems like the deal fell through at the last minute because his rep wanted $20M. If they are willing to spend that much money on some prospect you can bet that he'll be ahead of almost all the other players. And their desire is to integrate those players that cost millions. They are also always linked with buying, spending millions on youth players around Europe. 7-I don't think Brewer is that highly seen at the club to be honest, he's older than a lot of players but is behind most of them, rarely starts/plays. Never mentioned as a player that's highly seen at the club by Ralf Rangnick or the German press with potential future there either. One of those players who was highly seen and who they wanted to activate a clause in his contract for another 2 years, as his contract expired in the Summer bolted during the transfer market and joined Jong Ajax. A lot of those other players have expiring contracts in the Summer and have yet to renew. Although they might active their clauses, so who knows about them. 8-oh let's not forget that RB is the only team in the league where Academy players have played 0 minutes this season, which includes non young/youth players but who came from said club's Academy..... well anyways you get the drift, I don't think he's in LA for the heck of it. Why would he be there if RB U19 play tomorrow vs Hamburg U19??? They also played last week in a game which I don't believe Brewer was involved. I think RB for now won't be a great club for youth players from within but maybe in a few years they could turn it around. It was said that Rangnick's biggest desire is that RB would promote youth players from within and he said that during Christmas party. But this doesn't seem likely to be anytime soon. And Brewer might be better off playing somewhere he can get chances and playing time.
This piece indicates that he's joined LA along with James Murphy. https://www.angelsonparade.com/2018...-nico-czornomaz-steeve-saint-duc-hugh-roberts
Better he signs for LAFC if he gets playing time then stay stuck at the poor RB academy. Obviously it would be better if he could sign with another Bundesliga club.
looks like he's finally gone from RB from the U20 squad FORWARDS (6): Shaft Brewer (Unattached; Sacramento, Calif.), Zyen Jones (FC Schalke 04; Clarkston, Ga.), Ulysses Llanez Jr. (LA Galaxy; Lynwood, Calif.), Nebiyou Perry (FC Köln; New York, N.Y.), Justin Rennicks (Indiana University; Hamilton, Mass.), Josh Sargent (SV Werder Bremen; O'Fallon, Mo.) most reports had him joining MLS. He's better off, hasn't even played for the RB U19 since November.
.@LAFC and Shaft Brewer Jr agree to part ways. Brewer,19, played in 4 games in 2 seasons in @MLS— Kevin Baxter 🇺🇦🏳️🌈 (@kbaxter11) July 28, 2019 https://www.lafc.com/post/2019/07/28/lafc-and-shaft-brewer-jr-mutually-agree-part-ways
Wonder where he’ll go. If only he had waited it out another year and signed with FC Cincinnati. Would have had an easier time breaking in.
The only post-DA level at which he's approached regular play is the USL. If he's an MLS-level player who just needed to be on a different team, great, but there's little on his resume to suggest that. Would be great if true. He's young and will surely get a chance somewhere.
'99 former US U20 W/FB Shaft Brewer is currently training in Oslo, Norway. It isn't immediately clear if at a specific club. Previously with LAFC first team and RB Leipzig academy.— ChuckMe92 Soccer (@ChuckMe92Soccer) November 20, 2019
