every single stream site I checked (well over 10 links now) that state is showing Portugal vs Sweden is showing Czechs vs Georgia. Is the game not televised at all?
Game 3 Portugal 2 (Rafael Leão 70', João Filipe [P] 87') Sweden 2 (Gyökeres 43', Karlsson 61') Portugal come back from 2-0 down to get a draw in which even they lost they would of qualified. This group might be a bit fortunate in getting to the Euro's but has already done better than the U20 and the U21 in getting to the semi-finals, which is what the A side got to in the Confederations Cup. Do not think this game was televised but might get some footage later. Czech Republic 2 (Sasinka 46', Holik 70') Georgia 0 Group A Portugal 7 (+2 GD) Czech Republic 6 (+2 GD) Georgia 3 (-2 GD) Sweden 1 (-2 GD) Portugal & Czech Republic qualify.
Well Netherlands in the semis. They beat Germany 4-1 but still look pretty poor, so not sure how that result even came about. We should have a clear path to the finals, but England do look to be the strongest team at this tournament.
Game 3 Group B Netherlands 1 Bulgaria 1 England 2 Germany 0 Group B England 9 (+6 GD) Netherlands 4 (+2 GD) Germany 3 (-3 GD) Bulgaria 1 (-5 GD) England and Netherlands qualify.
Semi-finals Wednesday 12 July 2017 Portugal - Netherlands England - Czech Republic Times to be announced. If you had to generically choose two teams to face in the semis and finals it is Netherlands and England. England I am sorry to say have now a very good youth teams, won the WC U20 and were semi finals in the Euro U21 we only got to the QF and group stage exit, respectively. But just maybe this side will be the glorious surprise this year.
Semi-finals Wednesday 12 July 2017 Portugal - Netherlands (14:00 PT) England - Czech Republic (17:00 PT)
yes England youth teams seem to be good, they will probably be a team on the rise in the coming years. I dont know if their U21 team was necessarily better than ours though, we were grouped with Spain and had 6 pts. March rated two of our players in the top 5 of the tournament. all that money invested in the PL has to lead to something, although getting games in the first teams at many of the top clubs is always an issue. Lets hope for a win today vs Netherlands and then we will see what happens.
Thats the one thing they have not got around is that English players as a rule do not want or do not leave England to go elsewhere which will continue being a obstacle even more so after Brexit, I assume.
Funnily enough there is a few now gone, mainly to Germany with more and more linked. Seems the penny is dropping at last with a lack of pathways in England and now looking abroad. Think Willock just signed for Benfica recently too, not seen much of him lately but in the past was always impressed. Also Brexit 'should' in theory work the other way too, kids from the EU will find it very hard to join Prem teams and even senior players that are not Internationals ( even Internationals will have to have played a certain percentage depending on what tier they are ) will find it hard to get VISA's so theoretically it should help with pathways for our players. Anyway, look forward to the game on Saturday but if we play as badly as we did today, I fancy you guys to take it.
Englands youth teams have come up a lot these last 2 years. It was looking like we were taking a strangle hold on the youth scene but France and England have made strides, Germany and Spain are still good but have stagnated IMO
In what regards? Made some odd calls on team selections last night though, decided to start with two rightbacks with one playing attacking wide right which just didn't work and lacked creativity. Two left backs also fwiw but at least Sessegnon has been playing left mid for Fulham most of last season, so you could say he's been converted. Still benched the most talented player in the squad in Marcus Edwards who has now twice come on to provide assists to save us.
Germany beat Spain in u21 final Spain won u17 this year In the last few years we only won 1 u17. I think Germany and Spain are doing just fine The teams who have fallen behind in Europe are Netherlands and Italy
