Seb Lletget... A Cautionary Tale. It's been real YA. This thread has basically gone like this... Great preseason! Manager is so high on him! He's so breaking through!!!! ..nothing. Next season, no problem he's so young!!!! Man he killed it in preseason... Hello first team!!! ...nothing Good preseason... Omg he is going to get minutes!!!! Makes bench 3 weeks in a row, but is unused (once at Old Trafford I remember)... Goes back to reserves does well... Has another strong preseason... Makes the bench doesn't play... We read an article saying his development is coming along nicely... Has a couple injuries, couple of goals and nice passes in the devel squad (where he holds the app record) Has an OK preseason... Plays in one cup game where they lose 5-0 or some crap... havent heard from him since Or something like that Good riddance.
Contracts run to 30th June so theoretically he cannot sign until July 1st. Of course, West Ham might be willing to terminate it 6 weeks early, and then it would depend on the U.S. & English FAs being willing to transfer his registration.
If anything will happen, most likely it will be before the 12th when the primary window closes. He couldn't be registered until July 8th after that. . Either way, I'm for the move as a Galaxy fan. It will be interesting to actually see him play matches, been hearing about him for years and may have seen him once or twice. With the Galaxy's midfield right now if he can't get games then something is wrong.
This sub-forum should be renamed the Sebastian Lletget Yanks Abroad Academy Forum, it's only fitting after his years of service.
Welcome back to California, Sebastian! The #LAGalaxy have signed midfielder @slletget: http://t.co/7gH5fYebCL pic.twitter.com/Nh2tv7tyx9— LA Galaxy (@LAGalaxy) May 8, 2015 Will be interested to see whether he can actually play football.
Too Lletget to quit: http://matchcenter.mlssoccer.com/ma...alaxy-vs-portland-timbers/details/video/42185 He also drew a penalty later.
As this thread enters a period of dormancy (until Lletget makes another ill-advised move abroad), I thought you all should know that I printed this entire thread out and donated the pages to the Smithsonian
It was mentioned many times as a possible title for the thread. It was probably too good for a Dev Squad player, waiting for him to play with the first team.
Seb 2nd in MLS goals per minute at 1 per every 94 mins (3 total). Kinda awesome to actually see him play. And Lloyd Sam. I think we need to sticky a YA's who come (back) to MLS thread, just for old times sake.
sorry everyone, just picked up lleget on my fantasy team. prepare for him to get injured and/or suck.
It'll be interesting to see where he's placed when Dos Santos comes in. So far though, what a great move for Llegett. Bruce knows what to do with talent if you give it to him.
