I'm curious to see how well SeatGeek works for account management, ticket resale, etc. As a Royals STH, I like how my account is linked to StubHub, because that is such a trusted market. I've never had an issue listing, selling and getting paid. I also liked how Ticketmaster was set-up in the Sporting KC Account Manager. Again, tickets got sold and I got paid. I've never purchased via SeatGeek. Has anyone used it to purchase resale tickets for anything? I guess I can always list tickets on StubHub if SeatGeek doesn't get enough traffic. FWIW - StubHub has 369 listings for the Dallas Game. SeatGeek doesn't yet have an entry.
So... I got my parking passes today... and that would normally contain the STM ticket card... which is absent. How are we accessing tickets at the stadium? Have I missed a communication about something?
i guess talk of season tickets goes here. got my season tickets today ... or rather, got my parking passes. i guess they're not using a card for tickets this year? has their penny pinching gotten that serious that they can't send out plastic cards now? they're forcing you to either use their app (no thank you) or print out your ticket every game. pain in the ass. another negative move from the club to the fans. EDIT: wow, impressive timing, uppa.
Yes it's the app either Uphoria or SeatGeek is my understanding. I've heard that if you have your account number and photo ID you can probably print at the stadium if your phone dies. I have a feeling my phone will be 'dying' a lot in the parking lot.
Frustrated that we STILL cannot manage our tickets for the first match. The home opener is the first weekend of Spring break and the second game is the second weekend of Spring break we are going to be out of town for both... and I'm sitting here on tickets I can't list, print, or otherwise move. Maybe tomorrow. Or maybe not.
I just posted mine on stubhub - fortunately one can download the PDF of the tickets even though one can't post for sale, etc.
Yeah I'm seeing a number of fans unhappy with the process at the moment. Many seem to be people with multiple people on their 1 account.
There are 6 MS listings for the Dallas match that were posted in the last 2 days, so it looks like others are starting to do the same. Median price before fees of all MS for sale (10) is $58.58. Median for the MS sold (25) is $56.09. No MS for sale via SeatGeek.
I might have to do the same. Ten days until the home opener and still can't send or sell them on SeatGeek - kind of ridiculous.
has anyone heard or been told what they're doing for people who have season tickets, but don't have a smartphone or a printer? are they really going to make them go to the ticket office and print them out a ticket every game?
I'd emailed my rep about that (cause my phone doesn't hold charge well any more). Mine offered to print them and mail them to me.
Not the stopping of a card. Seat Geek is the official ticketing partner of MLS, but the season ticket stuff is KC specific from my understanding.
It's finally active. I forwarded my tickets for the opener to a friend. Waiting for confirmation that they were received.
Already annoyed at having to print my tickets for tomorrow, since I refuse on principle to install either of the apps on my phone, I was quite frustrated to discover today that selling my tickets for games when I will be out of town requires the ability to receive a text message with a "verification token." I do not text--ever--and keep that function disabled at all times. Why would an online site not provide the option to receive such a thing by e-mail instead? I contacted my rep and will see what happens. Yes, I am a grumpy old man, at least when it comes to this stuff.
this whole effort by them is extremely annoying. i'm still baffled by the logic of not sending out a ticket card. they only just moved to that from the paper ticket... what, 3 years ago? and now they think that every single season ticket holder has a smartphone and wants to be forced to use another app? i'd like to know what was so bad about having cards that necessitated getting rid of it altogether. seatgeek also has a 15% seller's fee, which seems high to me. maybe that's the going rate and i just haven't paid attention to what it was before. i think i'll be doing any selling offline and just email the pdf the old fashioned way. that's gonna limit my options, for sure, but i'd rather do that than reward bad practices.
