Quite a nice box this season, actually really nice not quite Apple quality packaging, but not far off, with a hidden magnetic “clasp”. Inside isn’t quite as underwhelming as seasons’ past, the ticket booklet is fine, no obvious printing or binding errors (at least in mine), but nothing to write home about either. Kind of a cool infographic poster of the history home & aways jerseys and a “postcard” with the season ticket holder reward redemption on the back. As someone else said it’s a pretty cheap looking pair of flip flops with the Galaxy logo screen printed on the heel (in Men’s size 10, so screw you short, tall people). Overall I’d give it a B-, it’s still not on par with what an elite club in this league should be doing, but at least it was executed without the obvious errors and cheap production of recent seasons.
Flip flops? I occasionally wonder if most of their giveaways are the result of somebody mistyping a requisition order....
Not exactly season ticket related, but today I bought tickets for the April 10 match v Portland. The graphic on the e-tickets was a photo of Omar and Juninho . . . Oops.
I noticed the season tickets didn't come with a "membership card" as in years past. I would use this card to get my 20% discount at the team stores. The back of the uniform poster says to get your 20% discount at the stores to use your "membership card". How do we get our membership cards this year if they are not part of the ticket book?
I was at the Tijuana game and the season ticket booth was handing out cards, so I asked what they were giving away and it was the credit card sized discount cards. They asked if I received any yet and I said no so they just handed me 4 of them since I have 4 season seats. I don't know how they were planning to distribute them but you can probably go to any season ticket booth and they will have them.
This is correct. Just got an email and under 2016 Membership Cards: "Each Season Ticket Member receives a Membership card which will allow you to purchase discounted merchandise at the LA Galaxy Team Store and early entrance for Galaxy games. The 2016 cards have arrived and are available for pick-up at any of our upcoming matches. Please head to Season Ticket Member Headquarters above section 126 or the Galaxy tent above section 104 to pick up your card."
Also noticed that they moved my parking location from lot 11 to 12/13 - the "gold" lot. When I asked, they told me they decided to put all STH parking in lots 12/13 and make 11 open for general parking.
I park down the street and walk. I at least get some exercise and save $15... or get a free beer and change if you look at it another way.
