I don't know what you can put on the FO at this point. They've gotten to the groundbreaking. Now it's on the development team and construction team to do their part. The speed at which these two teams (development & construction, not DC and KC) can build an entire stadium has nothing to do with how much our FO "cares" about us.
It does seem to be stills updated throughout the day as the current picture and the posted picture are different. What it is not is streaming video. james
I am visualizing United hiring some guy to climb a telephone pole and take photos at random times of the day. I'm surprised there is not a night shot, too. If they're using a "critter cam" that could explain it. If still photos every couple of hours is less expensive than a streaming video camera, I can totally see United doing that. Cheapnis!
Somebody in this thread posted a link to an article about Poplar Point that even mentioned what is still there. That guy posted the photo that is the webcam too. Unfortunately he's probably on ignore lists. Change your avatar.
I assume someone is working on an app/bot that will copy the noon picture every day and post it to this thread
Who ever moved my thread here can shove it! I started a new thread so it would not get lost in this jumble of a mess.
Since there is no digging I don't think this stadium will take much more time than a large big box store or small office building. I'm no architect, but once the site is cleared, they start building up pretty quickly. Crew stadium went up super fast (18-19 months I recall).
They have about 12 months to get the erector set standing if they plan to open at the start of the season.
I don't know why people are getting worked up about the "front office never does anything right" thing. You hire the best construction manager that you can find, offer bonuses (and penalties) for timeliness, and stay out of the way. Lots of construction projects get completed on time. It won't necessarily be easy, but there sure is a lot of pessimism here.
