Goals by Mina have been crazy important: Final minute goal vs Uruguay in Barranquilla with torrential downpour and us down 1-2. Tight game in WC vs Poland, opens up score 1-0. Tight game vs Senegal for the winner 1-0 that wins us group. Added time goal vs England in WC to take us to Extra time. 1-1 I mean, you can't get much more clutch than that....almost wonder if Pekerman should have just given him PK#4 as the guy loves to score.

It is hard for me to count 2 assists for Arias in the USA game. The one for Bacca was obvious but the James one? I don't buy it. That was all James on that one.
For avoid intepretation problems... i only denied assist when is rebound... I also like to include as assist.. to see that our goals were produced in an open play.

I just pointed out that it has little to do with the National team scoring situation which is the topic of the thread. But I did point out it is an indirect post because of what you mentioned about the 3 Colombians. Don't take it personal.
I really really hope that Santos Borre and Borja will convert their great form this season into a great form in the national team. We cannot use Falcao anymore as out main target. He is not sharp and fast as he used to be and we do have good and talented young strikers. They just have to take the opportunity.
I like both but they aren't making a case for themselves, or well, at least Borja isn't. ********ing Deyverson got him benched in Palmeiras!!! I sincerely hope that he leaves that team, I think that he is very well suited for spanish and french football. My other choices would be Mauro Manotas and Juan Otero, Manotas because he is just a different striker from what we have, someone with speed but with a good shot in both feet and simply has the instinct to be there to push the ball, and Otero because he is built like a truck and although technically isn't very impressive he fights like hell for every ball and can also get the job done as a second striker or as a winger. To be honest currently I'm not worried in the league they play but in the amount of game time they have. Being a member of a team in Spain, Italy and England is impressive, but if they aren't playing shit I'd rather have someone else unless they've already proven themselves with the NT.
