Today WesKinnie was pretty much a vanilla CM. He popped up in the box on D with late challenges, and was often equal with the strikers out on the wide right. It was a very generic (positioning wise, not a comment on quality) roving CM. And he was in good position most of the time. He had a very nice game. Fotuitous point for Shalke, but not bad for Wes. Better than the last 2 games I saw him play.
He does his thing and it works. If I were Schalke, though, with (if?) Goretzka leaving, that's a position I'd be looking to upgrade in the winter.
