I didn't hijack this thread into the woods in an off-road vehicle. But once you're in this particular woods, you do need to know a bit about the Wild Cat. :)

You really think a League which signed Michael Vick AFTER being convicted of dog fighting AND serving jail time would have an issue sign Kap if they felt he could win them games?

NFL talk on a soccer message board is a serious drag, especially when it fills an unbroken page.

Tangents are the spice of life. It's how Columbus discovered America, taking a tangent while looking for spices. A serious drag, I know. :)

We can simply ask the mods to move this Kaepernick discussion to its own OT thread. In the meantime, what are you doing to "Save the Crew"?

Exactly. And further, if it weren't for tangents we probably wouldn't even have alcoholic beverages, as whomever discovered wine was probably trying to make grape juice. Whoa, this is really different and makes me feel really relaxed. But I'd best not tell anyone because I'm supposed to be making grape juice! I would be "off topic" in my "grape juice thread"!!

And so at the games we'd be drinking Welch's and Clausthauler non-alcoholic beer (except we wouldn't call it "non-alcoholic beer because we wouldn't know what alcoholic beer is).

My husband’s favorite non-alcoholic beers are Kaliber and Becks, with Clausthauler amber 5 on a scale of 10, and clausthauler Pilsner a 4

    I think we've officially bottomed out - now ranking non-alcoholic beers. :)

I do NA runs on occasion to give my liver a break. I've found Clausthaler to be the best of the bunch when it comes to the NA beers. And the Amber is the better of the two, especially since they started dry hopping it. However it's harder to find than some of the others so I usually end up drinking Becks which is acceptable.

Granted they're all pretty much inferior to all real beer save Bud Light and it's ilk. But it's better than fruit juice. Worst one I've ever had is the true 0.0% Bitburger Drive. It's like drinking malt water.

And in the winter, if beer is too cold, a turmeric latte can be invigorating.

Is it ever too cold for beer?

I live where it's a lot colder than the Bay Area, and I'm happy to drink beer year round. One of the local brew pubs make a killer porter. Yumm. Sounds like lunch!

    Oh and Save The Crew!!!

I haven't really been following but what are the chances Precourt will get his downtown stadium in Columbus in order to prevent a move to Austin?

Sorry, but Governor Moonbeam has that title all sewn up.

Irrelevant, his level of suckage overwhelms his one shining moment, that and he's a team cancer/distraction.

Why? Do you have a problem with fiscal responsibility and restraint? The state had a budget deficit of over $25 billion when Brown took over and it now has a budget surplus "rainy day" fund. He did that by taxing the rich and with a slight increase in the sales tax, as well as resisting the call to spend on more social programs.
Brown will go down as one of the best governors in state history.

When I was a kid Brown was governor. Now I’m old and he is still in the same position. Linda Maria Ronstadt could have been First Lady twice in a lifetime!

Well, it was Edmund who saw that building the California Aqueduct and sending water south would keep people down there and not compel them to move up here. So, yes, he is also great!
