Or the video clip of The Bearded Clam being showered with pink slips as he heads into the tunnel and the security guy openly laughing at him. And I would pay good money for that photo of Chelsey trudging up into the second deck with an armload of pink paper. Classic stuff
I hope its Andrulis because Smith lives here as head of the OSU alumni association. Not wanting to have anything to do with Columbus would be a real impediment.
Pardon me if I have already posted this picture, but this one is from the final game of that horrendous 2006 season. Seeds of what would become some of the modern supporters’ groups. For you, bud. Pre-stage. 137.
Bill is right. From what I heard, she and the kids didn't even go to games when things got close to the end.
Wear a black one. When it’s cold but there’s a little bit of sun, the black one will absorb some light and warm you up a little.
I thought he got in a car accident on I -70 involving a truck sideswiping him or something. I don’t remember him saying it was intentional. ???
@Ch(Elsey) Damn!! You rock. I was looking though my DMs for that picture today. That was BTW pretty much everyone in 137 for that game.
Precourt is the real-life Rachel Phelps except that he tanked the off-field operations instead of the on-field ones.
I know this is last minute but I need a ticket for tomorrow. Do the supporter groups still sell tickets pre-game? Or can someone help a brother out?
You're not wrong. That was circa 2005. It had been raining for hours, everyone was soaking wet and we had missed the playoffs. I bolted for the tent the second the whistle blew.
The kids of The Coach Who Shall Go Unamed were getting harrassed at school about their dad sucking as a coach and I think they were getting hassled at the games as well.
I dont believe people were hassling his kids. First because nobody would have known who they were and second because I just dont see people doing that. However, if they were in the stadium they would have heard a lot of ugly shit said about their useless jackass of a father. People were pretty vocal and I would have kept them home too. As far as school, I suppose it's possible but they lived in Dayton the entire time. How many Dayton school kids would know or care about the Crew? His wife is free to hate on Columbus all she wants. Fine by me. But her husband took a high profile job that he was never qualified for and sucked at. Taking some flack has always been.part of the deal.
Following the Crew game head over to the Taft (aka the Barn) for the Columbus Futsal professional match at 7pm. Always a good time!
I have that as the home closer in 2006. On another social media platform, I have a handful of photo albums from the 2005 and 2006 season. @negativetouch, you are in some (and your family). Far too long ago in a Crew era far away. Merry Crewsmas, ladies and gentleman. May we score as Ross Paule once did while wearing the black and gold. When he bagged a hat trick with his left, his right, and his head. Glory to Columbus.
