to be honest, Abdulla Madu displayed better game than Omar Howsavi
Woww... Ahmed Al Faridy's solo effort made it 2-1 for Al Nasr on 87'
Ahmed Al Faraidy showed that big players perform in big matches ... He deserves to be in the Saudi National Team... I hope Saudi National Team selector(s) and Coach is watching Ahmed Al Faraidy...
Al Wehda's goal changed Al Nasr's game plan and getting Ahmed Al Faraidy in 2nd half after Al Wehda's goal turned out to be game changer.
Qadsiyah continues impressive run under Dos Anjos. First Nasser, then Hilal and Now Ahli beating them 4-1 .
Ittihad wins against Tawoon 2-1 to keep the pressure. If not reduced for 3 points Ittihad must be behind Hilal now instead of Nasser and Ahli
Hilal match against Qadsiyah ended 1-1
It is impressive when you are playing top league team plus at home and holding them to draw is impressive
Yeah Quadisiyah are pretty impressive team now, if they had a better start in the league they could've competed for an ACL spot.
Hilal winning comfortably 3-0 vs. Khaleej, the pressure is on Ahli again. The ACL is coming and will play an important role in these teams' battle, we'll see whether Ahli priortize the league again.
Al Hilal winning ACL is over-due ... It's about time AlHilal should focus on ACL and keep the league as secondary goal since they are 7 points clear atop at this stage. Also, the last near miss in ACL last time around due to lack lusture Japanese Referee costing the final against WSW of Australia should be forgotten now and focus should be on this year's campaign.
Ittihad beats Shabab 2-0 and Ahli gets beaten by Nasser. The league is bit confusing now to judge which team to win till the last match days. Ittihad are still in contention to win the league if they win against Hilal next match day plus if they are given back to them.
Ahli will be looking to avoid more upsets plus is Nasser is piling up the pressure on Hilal too...
OverAll , I feel sorry for Shabab. A good competitive team turning into a immature youth team. I don't know who is deciding there fate and what they think they want to give Jaber experience of being a good catch. They have robbed him of all good players now..Waleed left for Nasser, Abdullah Asta will leave next season, Hassan Muaz too will be out. Then who else remains??? I feel they will vanish one day from the league as Al Riyadh Club once upon a time..
I think Sami Jaber should start looking for opportunity in any other club in the league and must look to leave Al Shabab... He's not having an impressive CV if he remains in Al Shabab's drowning boat
I won't go as far as expecting Shabab to go down eventually, but yeah it's not easy to see the end of tunnel. Sami has his mistakes but I think he was done bad by the club. I just don't get what they are doing. In Alowais for example they mishandled the situation completely. Hilal and Ahli were both in urgent need for a GK and would've paid some millions now to buy out his contracts, the money could've been used to bring some talents and upgrade the team or stop the players leaving. Instead they lost both GKs for free.
Anyway I respect Sami's decision to take on Shabab and stay with them although everybody knew his chances of success are minimal, it'll be easier for him if he just went to appear on TV like every other pundit and gets paid about the same while being "right" all the time.
The problem with Sami is he is over ambitious which is spoiling his career. If he would follow foot steps of handling the youth ranks of clubs or NT he can develop his skills from there and carry to big teams.
Anyways, Ittihad has lost appeal to restore 3 points to them in league. Which means Hilal now gets upper hand in winning the league..
Yeah, but you can't really fault him for not resisting coaching Hilal, the club of his life. I wanted him to get a chance with the youth team first too, but maybe he thought this opportunity in a club as big as this doesn't come very often. After sacking him it's all downgrade in my opinion, he didn't get offers from the local big clubs, so his choices are limited. The current Shabab looked promising at first but it turned out they are just like the other smaller clubs and share only a name with the bigger clubs.
Anyway there is a model which fits your description, Saad Alshehri who coached Nassr's youth team and in charge of the NT. We'll see if he will have success in the SPL in the future or if he will be given a chance in first place, I hope he gets it.
Ittihad 1-3 Hilal
A shitty game and a shitty first goal from Hilal which balanced the game on there side..Ittihad played shitty too..We got couple of chances to finish the game of early but Fahds arrogance costed us the game..
Anyways, Hilal have the league now..Not deserving but congrats..
Wins for the top 4 again and yet again Hilal needed some more help to beat Fateh beyond the injury time..
Hilal are 8 points clear but now have some tough fixtures to tackle with - Ahli, Shabab n Nasser.
Nasser - Next match with Ittihad, which is most deciding factor in setting Hilal for the league..Nasser drops points Hilal will be not reachable on summit.
Did you watch the game? Fateh's GK was "injured" and his teammates were down for sometime as well in the added time, you don't really think there was no time wasted in a whole 6 minutes of play between 90:00 and 96:20 (when the goal was scored), do you?
Salem Al Dowsary played well in tonight's game against Al Raed. He assisted in the first goal with his trademark fast movement and passing, and also scored a wonderful goal for himself. He was pretty much influential in the mid-field going up-front... His dribbling skills are exceptional... I recon the Coach Ramon Diaz must have gained confidence in him...
The matches between Ittihad v Nasser and Ahli v Baten ended in draws 1-1.
Now Hilal only needs to win 1 match out of remaining 4 to clinch the league.
Yeah he did well, and Ramon's double substitutions at half time payed off. However, I'm still not a fan of Salem, knowing him he will return to the usual horrible decison-maker Salem we all know and watced countless times, the club already extended his contract so it's unlikely he will leave but I prefer it more if the club sees him as a backup in their plan rather than having a role in the starting lineup
Ahli denies Hilal league after holding 0-0 draw which means Hilal needs win against Shabab to clinch the league..
Relegation battle is more keen to watch on -
11- Fateh - 22 P
12 - Baten - 22 P
13 - Khaleej - 21 P
14 - Wehda - 17 P
Wehda and Fateh plays each other which is must win for Wehda to keep there slim hopes alive to be in the league. Fateh needs to win to maintain the pressure off from the bottom 3
Baten plays Nasser at home and again needs to win to keep of the pressure and hope other results fall in there favour especially Khaleej when they face Tawoon.
Khaleej faces tricky away trip to Tawoon and will hope to come off with point atleast or win and hope Fateh draws or looses against Wehda and Baten gets beaten by Nasser..
A tricky next match day for all relegation battling clubs..
Hilal winning there league against team coached by there legend player will be awkward to watch..
What's the story of Awadh Khamis ?... He plays for Al Nasr but wikipedia is showing that he is Al Hilal player ?... Also, what's the Saudi FA calling him and Nasr & Hilal presidents for ?
Yup it's gonna be awkward watching Hilal securing the title vs. Sami.
He signed on 2 contracts: one for Hilal as a free agent as his contract runs out with Nassr after 6 months then he changed his mind and resigned/extended his contract with Nassr, so this is what the dispute is all about.
So Hilal wins league..Congrats to the Team and Fans..
But, largely unconvincing win..They did Fateh where other teams where dropping points and they gained or other teams busy changing coaches and they kept winning matches..Its not that Hilal changed coached but it was too late for other teams to keep the pace...Ittihad was only threat untill they got robbed of the 3 points which derailed there race..Otherwise if not win, Ittihad could have troubled them till last match day..
