I've just read a couple of stories on my US news online were an SAS team hiding out undercover in the desert for days pinpointed Jihadi Johns hideout and called in the strike that killed him. That's why they were so sure they got him. Another related SAS story from Iraq claims a sniper team staking out a suspected bomb factory spotted 3 men in overly warm covering clothing and 2 guards leaving the building. The sniper shot one man in the chest, his bomb blew killing him and the 2 guards. Shot one bomber in the head and the 3rd in the chest blowing his bomb. Three shots. Five kills, not a bad result.
