Tecla played a good game in the 2nd leg the game was alot closer than the score line shows if anything, the series has been the best display of a Salvadorian team in the CCL imo. Alot were predicting for a blow out in both games but they made it difficult for seattle even keeping it 0-0 at the half of the 2nd leg. wasnt surprised for the flood gates to be opened after the first goal thou
I still feel the Metapán run a few years ago was the most solid run in the ccl era. However Tecla far exceeded my expectations
Tecla played 3 out of 4 halves extremely well. They played toe to toe vs Sounders. I didn’t get to see the second half yesterday but the first was what was really nice to see.
I was just getting mad at the players having constant brain farts on the field, you can get away with that back in El Salvador but better teams will punish you for it.
That was in 2011-2012, when they needed to win their last group game and did. They had the worst goal differential in the group, but finished second, and they had most goals allowed of the 16 clubs in the Group Stage. In the Quarterfinals, they beat Pumas UNAM 2-1 and then lost 8-0.
