I based it off my interaction over the phone. I agree that they are doing well but it feels like their management is polished while those on the "ground floor" doing the work aren't as polished/experienced. The lack of transparency is just another thing to point to this (good overall plan but minor details are missed).
I give them the benefit of the doubt there again too. Their low level people have been on the job a month. As for lack of transparency, they’ve been pretty transparent about everything on social media. Not sure what else you’d like them to reveal?
There are multiple ways to engage with the fans without revealing everything: gradual blurry to clear images ruled out names & colors
No I agree they are doing great...my point was that a well oiled machine would have caught the discrepancy that the event registration emails didn't say if you get a free beer or not.

San Diego Loyal SC = terrible name; too busy logo, nice colors ETA: Love the colors, even though I’d have liked some kind of blue. The overall crest shape is a nice touch with the Spanish architecture influence. The logo however is too busy, the name is terrible and I hate that San Diego isn’t spelled out.
Great name given what’s happened to other teams in this town moving to LA. Colors are also very appropriate.
Yeah I can see the 2.0 version in a couple of years narrowing it down to one orange shade and one light green in the upper and lower parts of the crest. Would solve most of the busy ness.
At first, my reaction was yikes but the more I see it the more I like it. I agree that eventually they'll cut the many colors down to just one or two on the top and bottom.
Agreed. This morning I was kinda down on it but it’s growing on me. Especially seeing it in better conditions.
Source: https://www.sandiegouniontribune.co...st-landon-donovan-warren-smith-torero-stadium a Werder Bremen-like green jersey with orange accents/sleeves and white shorts would be kinda neat if they focus on the green. Hope for one of the uniforms to be primarily white and orange/green accents though.
Same reaction as others, initially wasn't a fan but the color and crest are growing on me. Still not a fan of the name but I am sure that will grow on me too.
Ummmmm Urrrrr ahhhhh, I mean we're dealing with lower division US Soccer so I am not expecting to sign Pep after he quits City following a conspiratorial rant, but I'm nervous about having a guy learning to be both GM and Head Coach at the same time running the team. I guess this was always the plan so can't say I am shocked. Hope he turns out to be the next Zidane, or better yet Jesse Marsch.
I don't mind it and it looks like he has a good assistant coach and advisers. He does have his USSF B or A license.
We are less than 4 months away from the first game and less than 3 until training camp so I expect to have more announcements on players and open tryouts coming up. I also heard they will have a local TV partner, which is interesting because FSSD has Clippers, Ducks, and Padres, so I am thinking it will be either the local CW affiliate or KUSI
Was getting the impression they already have a portion of their expected lineup in place from what Donovan was saying yesterday. Unless he was referring only to staff?
I would think its staff. Listened to the unnamed soccer podcast and they made it sound like he still needed to find a #1 assistant but all other coaches were in place.
