So you want to be a modern professional footballer?

Read the short article, I've linked. Talks about how Sami Khedira is working out 8 hours a day to recover as quick as possible from his knee injury. 8 hours a day!

He even sleeps at the clinic overnight and starts working out again in the morning. That's determination! And that's what separates world class athletes from the rest.

The German international suffered the knee injury on 15th November, an injury that required extensive surgery ruling him out of action for the remainder of the season, but the playmaker vowed to come back in time for the World Cup in Brazil.

According to Spanish sports daily, Khedira has been living in the small town of Donaustauf, roughly 135 kilometres outside of Munich and working with German national team physio, Dr. Klaus Elder, every single day at the Eden Reha clinic.

Khedira’s day begins at 9am with treatment, then he undergoes a check-up, before undergoing electrical stimulation, lymphatic drainage and physiotherapy.

Elder oversees all of the recovery work and is just as determined as Khedira to get the midfielder back on the pitch by April, in order be fit in time for the World Cup in Brazil.

The report goes on to add that Khedira, often times, will sleep at the clinic, showing the extent of his determination.

Very impressive. Hopefully he doesn't re-injure himself by trying to come back to quickly.

It's better if he doesn't rush things and make room for someone else.
