Good sources of information in regards to status of our players on game day or breaking news Twitter sources @ElPajaroPicon_ One of the better sources I’ve seen out there he posted the proof of St.Gallen that we saw in the last thread prior to the usual sports outlets picking it up. Has also had the inside scoop on players that are making the jumps abroad. @LegionariosNews One of the few Twitter accounts that still will provide updates whenever possible on players during game day. Back then there were three different accounts the other two haven’t been active in a long time, this account is the lone survivor. @futslv He tends to lean more to giving English updates to the local league more than players abroad but a great account to follow nonetheless. Naturally individual journalist accounts but I don’t follow all of them so if we can compile a list I think that would help tremendously. Here’s some of the ones I follow @SelectaTalent @celvides @martinezchino @Gusflores21 @elgraficionado @EDH_Deportes
Stickied. PS. I’ve actually been in El Salvador during the past few days. @Grimmjow316 I like the Houston airport.
Off-topic btw. A member from the Mexico section @chivamex10 created a discord channel for their section. I know a number of you post in Mexico section, so feel free to join! https://discord.gg/tv2brU
So all Zelaya has to do is pass his Medical, If he makes it then better late than never just like Ruso and we would have 3 vets in the MLS Zelaya,Ruso,Darwin.
Not gonna believe it until i see him literally playing in the field. I’m a season ticket holder so let’s see. Zelaya has had 2 teams literally present him and then he doesn’t go. Not really excited yet. This should be a door opener though. If zelaya can make it, then soon enough Oscar ceren and Orellana can come through
Bryan Tamacas played the full 90 minutes in Sportivo Luqueño 2-2 draw against General Diaz, It was the first game of the season. External Links: https://www.elgrafico.com/futbol/Br...e-de-su-equipo-en-Paraguay-20190124-0013.html

This is some real good news let’s hope he does well and grows as a player. Former @DCUyouth standout @alex_cerritos has signed with Pachuca (@Tuzos) down in Mexico! Cerritos was previously a USYNT forward before committing to @LaSelecta_SLV and making his international debut for them in 2017!#RepDMV x #DMVPro pic.twitter.com/RG7kFzw3va— DMV Soccer (@DMVSoccer96) January 25, 2019 KR won 4-0 btw.
Supposedly LAFC want to wait until Thursday when they play that Japanese team. And anyways, MLS always has to announce it first. Pachuca will not announce Cerritos because he joined the youth teams NOT the first team.
I mean it was pretty obvious he was joining the U20 side since the foreign spots are filled up and also if it was a signig to the main squad the official Tuzos account would have announced it.

Salvadoran Media post 2014ish or so has nosedived into something awful. A guy/fan behind a mask kicks most of their butts to get relevant news and instead of getting better, the top so called sources in the press just copy and paste. That's not to belittle the Picon guy because establishing relationships takes time and trust...just something off putting to see that's our sports media now compared to the rest of Centroamerica. They spent all that time in education...to not try to break news themselves and become a credible source. Carry on.
After Oliver Ayala, Jairo Henriquez and even Denis Pineda wasted their time in those systems, I'm not holding out hope to see any one ever break into the first teams lol. It's good training and some $ for the interim though.
The Media nowadays isn’t about research and legitimate sources anymore well unless your Woj (NBA) it’s all about hot takes. Also the downside to those hot takes have let to them making enemies with club presidents, players etc.
Actually the biggest beneficiary from playing in that youth squad for a bit ended up being Pineda his time with Tigres U20 helped get him eye from European scouts. Unfortunately him being really good ended up hurting Peña who was also there at the time.
I don’t think that’s a good excuse as to why Pena hasn’t delivered. No reason why Pena couldn’t also thrive with Pineda. That’d be like blaming Junior Flores’ mediocrity on Christian Pulisic; who also came up via BVB’s youth system.
Bad example since both those guys had actual contracts signed with the club while our guys where on loans. Well it did hurt him because when it came down to it Tigres kept Pineda around longer because remember Peña was sent right back to El Salvador once that loan ended without a second though. Clubs like that want production so they can flip those guys for profit, I believe what shot Peña in the foot which was no fault of his own was that he was part of the ES U20 squad that made it to the WC so they were probably hoping to turn that into big $$$. Also another thing we aren’t taking into account is FESA and it’s negotiating tactics because they deserve much of the blame in how some of these guys didn’t leave the country sooner or heck at least move them to first division clubs ASAP. They wasted roughly about a year playing second division ball when because they wanted more than the asking price.
