Blanco isn’t in Costa Rica anymore.
Herrera is being loaned to fas from Saint Louis. In fact all the Cosmo guys are no longer with them since the NASL is pretty much dead.
Mayen is going back to Tecla
Zavaleta isn’t really a player for this thread

Agree with Zavaleta. He hasn’t wanted to play with ES yet.

So Nelson is on the move he is headed to Thailand club not known yet.

948214798965129216 is not a valid tweet id

He would have been better served staying in the smaller European leagues, soon we will see him back in El Salvador.

@Grimmjow316 @slaminsams I included Zavaleta because last year he decided to switch over to ES a la Sorto, though he seems to have changed his mind again for the time being, so idk.

Didn't realise Blanco, Herrera and Mayen all returned to ES. Interested to see what happens to NASL; AFAIK it's not officially gone.

I think you meant that first comment to @Blue_nation724 I didn’t say anything about Zavaleta. But while we are on the subject it felt like a cocktease tbh to see if the US would bite.

As for the others Lester club was relegated so no reason to keep him so he had been back in El Salvador for a while. Herrera was just a recent acquisition for FAS to play this new season, Mayen the same the club he was with didn’t make the liguilla plus he wasn’t starting so he figures eeh.

If true and I were Fito I would make the jump usually clubs from that region pay pretty well.

In a way, USMNT not making the WC can be a curse. No doubt they will want to cleanout the USMNT and go with fresh faces. This would mean the Salvi American players like Perez, Flores, Moreno and Zavaleta etc will now fight even harder to earn a spot in USMNT going forward, whereas they would have been excluded if USA went to 2018 WC hence might’ve switched to ES. If that makes sense.

Regarding Bonilla, facking lol if he actually moves to a Thai club. South East Asia is where A-League players go to end their careers when they’re in their 30’s. Fito to Saudi Arabia wouldn’t be the worst move in the world, on the other hand. That $$$ though.

At this point given Fito is almost hitting 30 I’m okay with going for the payday if it is presented to him that is.

Sigh Nelson Bonilla signed with Sukhothai of Thailand
    External Links: http://www.elsalvador.com/deportes/futbol/435650/nelson-bonilla-jugara-en-tailandia/

This move makes no sense whatsoeve, at least with Zelaya he is going to one of the more competitive league in Asia. Thailand league is not that strong.

I would have preferred he went to Alianza as exchange for Zelaya possibly fgoing to saudi arabia.

Probably top ten in worst move and that's saying something (Rafael Burgos, Andres Flores, etc)

While I think its all but confirmed Zelaya going to Saudia Arabia as he did not appear on Alianza recent players list in 2018 and news article are appearing in Saudi Arabia stating its all btu confirmed.

    Alianza saying it isn’t true
I hate Pohl, a plague to ES soccer.

Nelson chasing $? Either way, we have again lost the credibility in our ST positions.

You know for as mad as we get that these guys aren’t getting opportunities, Clubs sure love to completely just shut those windows of opportunity and blow up bridges before the first thing even crosses.

This becomes a worse look for Alianza saying there was no offer when...

This a shambles, I feel like every player need to now have stioulated in their contracts, that contract could be ended if they recieve a better opportunity abroad (Like I wouldn't mind seeing Zelaya in Saudi Arabia - I mean he is not getting younger and Saudi Arabia is not a bad league)

So Alianza might also be telling fibs about denying Narciso an MLS move?

It’s not official that the NASL is dead but as of right now they are down to three teams Jacksonville, Miami and NY cosmos that haven’t said they are either moving to another league or disbanding. With Puerto Rico still not announced so it is possible if they by some miracle can put a team together they would make it four surviving teams.

They have some teams from the NPSL which is an amateur league possibly coming up and two teams in California that were supposed to join but all those new teams haven’t announced signings of either players or coaches. It is hard to see how the NASL can pull it off as of now they haven’t been sanctioned as a D2 league and teams keep leaving or folding. Today Indy Eleven said they will join the USL and Jacksonville has an announcement planned tomorro.

Regardless of wether or not the NASL survives another year the guys should look to another league. Most are so far but it makes me wonder what is keeping the last few from doing so

The owners of our leagues have held back many of our players going abroad.

It is ridiculous that Alianza have held back Zelaya just because they do not have an ‘adequate replacement’. They just released 2 young strikers, and they don’t seem to wanna use their bench.
And on Narciso’s case, they said they want to keep him for SCCL, but don’t they have Rivera, Portillo, or Rivera?!? Ridiculous!

I think it’s that mentality again. Why were they there in the first place.
As of now we only have ruso and menjivar there. Would honestly assume that they can find something else. A couple of the Cosmos players have already signed elsewhere. They should jump ship ASAP.

According to Transfermarkt and his Twitter, Pablo Punyed has joined another Icelandic club; KR Reykjavíkur (KR for short) on a three year deal.

I’m not sure if his brother Renato is still at IBV.
