Fast start quickly forgotten as Scorpions 'embarrassed' http://www.mysanantonio.com/sports/...rt-quickly-forgotten-as-Scorpions-4705715.php
All I can say about last night's game is thank God we finally found our scoring touch. The team record for most goals in a game was broken last night. Defense on both ends was weak to horrible. Give full credit to the club though for not putting their heads down after going in a hole and come storming back. The Rowdies were going through the motions until that third goal. This club has always had a knack for making spectacular comebacks under Hill, but this one takes the cake.
Have to give it to the Rowdies for coming back last night. The first 20 minutes of the game was about as one sided as could be. As after that third goal, the Scorpion's and the fans, it seemed that the intensity just let up. Then the Rowdies started controlling the ball, and made some great shots (like the second goal). And then the next thing the Scorpions were down and just could not get back up. But congrats to the Rowdies and the fans that traveled to San Antonio.
Definitely a lot to be concerned about after this game, but if the team plays every game the way they did over the final 70 minutes then we'll be more than fine. That was a crazy game. 11 goals is tough to top in a competitive match, but I'm not sure I want to deal with many more like it.
That game was an anomaly. We probably won't see another match like that for a while. That match should be a big confidence booster for the team. I can't wait for Saturday night. COYR!
