"@klinsmannschaft U20 MNT forward Rubio Rubin is starting for the FC Utrecht first team today." Big chance to impress today...
Twitter updates from the match here, Rubin has been involved: https://twitter.com/fcutrechtmatch ^ I think the actual translation of this attempt is that there was a through ball for Rubin but the keeper came out to get to it before Rubin could...or something. Anyway, that's it so far. Oh, and one final tweet:
Rubin is one of 4 Jong FC Utrecht players in the starting lineup and the second youngest on the team as far as I could tell. For a second I thought Justin Mapp made a transfer I hadn't heard about.
It's great that Utrecht is embracing an American and all, but naming their reserve team after Jurgen seems abit extreme.

Good news: Rubin took hit to face so no muscle injury. Bad news: Taken off in stretcher with extent of injury unknown. #USMNT— Joe Gould (@twelfthyank) July 20, 2014
Mild concussion? "Early reports from Utrecht say he suffered a mild concussion." http://trackingthestarsandstripes.wordpress.com/2014/07/20/sunday-european-roundup/
"What doesn't kill you makes you stronger" Not sure how well this motto holds up when it comes to concussions...
When was the last time you saw an 18-year old American soccer player with that kind of muscle definition. Guy must be 4% body fat, incredible.
I Saw that also....but didn't want to come off as awkwardly checking out his chizzled legs lol. The kid is def. in peak performance though (well prior to his injury).
