RSL v Houston 8/5/17. 8pm Kick

This has been a pretty desultory half of soccer. Looks like a road game for us, in which I would be perfectly happy with how the half unfolded.

 

We shoulda had something. Not a bad half though.

 

I'm not sure if I would rather have this kind of opponent parking the bus which makes for a boring game or a more exciting game where the opponent tries to attack since we still have a shaky defense. It all just drives me crazy!

 

I like the way we've started half two, with quicker movement and better chances. Close from both Savarino and Glad.

The goal is coming. I can feel it.

 

Brooks for Sunny and more attacking soccer? I'll take it.

 

Second yellow rather than a straight red = not reviewable.

We do, but Houston is slowing the game down masterfully. You could teach how-to with this as the main example.

I'm sure you all have watched games where the other team has a guy who when he gets a touch near our box you exclaim, "OH SH_ _!" and your sphinctometer pings off the scale? Well, we don't have one of those guys.

 

Hey FO. Have you been watching the games knowing we need a forward ?.So many missed chances. But it looks like you just aren't trying to get one. If you looked at Houstons roster you would see plenty of forwards.! Real basically has none!,

 

Yeah, as much as I enjoy seeing Silva interact with the next line of attack, his one goal in 1100 minutes (and only two assists, which surprised me) is pretty lousy.
