Goodness, it looks like we'll be traveling to the happy confines of Children's Mercy Park in Kansas City Kansas, or Missouri, or wherever they put that place, for a match with the nice folks from Sporting Kansas City. Their record is even worse than ours, although they're doing pretty well at home and they're 3 wins and 2 losses in their last 5 games. Not sure who will start. No Everton (too many yellows), no Petke, maybe Sam, maybe Albert, who knows? It's a shame Feilhaber won't be able to play. It's always so much fun to see him on the field. Have at it.
RSL with a 2:1 win and. because Petke won't be on the sideline, Vermes will "take one for the team" and get ejected for dissent to avoid anyone thinking that SKC has an unfair advantage. Brace by Cory Baird just to prove that he can score, even in a brothel.
I think that Vermes will eat Freddy for lunch tomorrow. I would put RSL getting a result at under 30% and closer to 20%. FUKC is running out of time to make a run to the playoffs and I’ll bet that RSL comes out flat as per usual and FUKC puts one on them early. No faith from me. 3-1 FUKC with a goal from Justin Glad late.
SKC is still dealing with the injury setbacks, but Vermes’ tutelage has the leftovers coming together. I think this gives them an advantage over our suddenly depleted squad...on the road. I don’t think we’ll get a result. It’s too bad, because only 2 weeks ago this looked like possibly our best shot at getting a road point.
No Seba in the 18 seems odd. Rimando Herrera Glad Silva Toia Beckerman Besler Rusnak/Damir Baird Rusnak/Damir Savarino Putna; Onuoha, Lennon, Portillo, Sam, Plata, Schmitt
Was it Bofo or Sava that was limping at the end of the game last week? Didn't read anything about an injury. Also, good to have Nedum and Sam back in the 18.
I thought Sam was out until mid-September. Great recovery from him. Baird . . . I hope he breaks out tonight, or gets an early hook.
Other thought about Bofo...could they be holding him out since we have a Wed game? Someone should ask Petke...er Freddy about this.
This might sound terrible as an RSL fan, but I'm so glad Rimando is retiring. He just isn't quite the same player he used to be.
What’s going on with the back line? They keep letting guys slip behind them to receive passes in front of Rimando.
So, so stupid from Toia. Good lord. They've been going up that wing over and over with some last-ditch defending saving us. That was bad.
