A couple of thoughts on players so far: Acosta - I thought he got burned repeatedly last week with the diagonal ball (and then he was promptly named to MLS team of the week), but he adds a ton both in distribution and getting forward. He's been good tonight. Luis Silva: very underrated for his technical ability. He has been fantastic in his #9 role. His vision, weighting and angle of the pass to release Savarino for the goal in this one was superb. Marcelo Silva: has been solid so far, but the weighting on some of his passes isn't quite right. I assume that'll improve as this is essentially still pre-season time for him.
Crazy stuff, with both teams hitting the woodwork. I will be pleased if Yura gets the chance to tell me to shut up.
Our movement in and around the box has completely dissipated with the subs. Yura and Saucedo and Lennon don't look so good.
Why is Yura in. He just missed an easy one again! Thought Real got rid of him! Why is Plata out also?
Saucedo does some good stuff out there, but he doesn't always show best decision making. Delivers a cross into an empty penalty area when he had the chance to bring teammates into the play.
No idea how Columbus has not gotten a yellow card for time wasting, worst team I've seen this year with it. And Saucedo gets a yellow for absolutely no reason.
A draw may have been a bit fortunate in this one. Still not sure how Kamara missed the hat trick with that open chance.
This is why the playoffs were always a pipe dream: this kind of result makes it tough to maintain a 2 ppg pace.
