I'm bummed out Savarino didn't get his first goal (he looked pissed) but can't be sad about leading for the first time in forever. and damn, Silva didn't miss by much!
On the radio they are speculating that Petke is not happy with Yura's play in the first half and is giving Silva a chance. Maybe Silva will be more expressive with Rusnak and Sava on the field with him.
I agree, the guy wasn't moving. A strikers main job is to make himself available in scoring positions. But as Savarino would break into the box, Movsysian would stand still and do nothing.
No kidding. But putting Villa out wide to take advantage of young Mr. Schmidt was going to do that regardless.
That's almost more promising than the score line. I love a coach who will bench players who aren't performing, salary be damned. Also: is anybody else feeling weird stirrings of emotion with us in the lead? I don't know what to do with this feeling.
Caring, but still pretty much ineffective, Silva has a horrible touch and even worse ball control. We used to call Findley "Robbie Rhino", Silva could use a similar nickname.
They were talking about him having a hamstring issue and not training so far this week. Hopefully he didn't fully injure it.
