Na, Bitcoin was the real investment. And to think back in the day I was going to use my PC to mine bitcoin, but didn't do it because the power cost was more than the coin was worth. Probably could've made at least 100k off of it had I originally did it.
Nowadays, you really need a purposely-built set up in a warehouse to make any money. All that power to find something that only exists in the ether of the Internet.
how closely do you look at tax deductions? But hey, don't worry, current administration is cutting down on those ridiculous ones like teacher's out of pocket pay...
Gotta keep the people poor. Tis' the republican way. As far as deductions go, I don't generally look into it, because I'm not fancy enough to have enough things work deducting.
With Goal's Position Ranking, we have the following mentions: Right Back - Tony Beltran at #9 L Center Backs - Glad at #10 R Wing - Savarina at #8 L Wing - Plata at #9 Playmakers - Rusnak at #6 Strikers - Yura at #1 One of those may not be true. Any surprises for you? I thought Nick and Kyle should have been ranked, even if this year was not their best. Acosta made a great case for himself as well.
Jeez. Making me click that link to see how crazy they were to have Yura #1. Glad to know it was just you putting that in there for a laugh. You got me.
I forgot the link. Sorry about that - http://www.goal.com/en-us/news/jack...s-mls-u-21-best-xi/1b36vfb6pxcas1grzftpm2q81s
This is going to really surprise many of you, but I have an issue with Rusnak being ranked the 6th best AM.
Rusnak is one of the few remaining playmakers who can get great results (14 assists) while playing pretty center in the field. So many playmakers have to go wide due to the atheism of defenses the past few years. Rusnak not only has great technical ability, but he is athletic and quick enough to be a general in an aggressive position in the middle of the attack. It is very rare. Remember Morales would ALWAYS go wide to find space to work from. That is more the norm in MLS.
Valezquez and Hoffman make the USL First Team: So what happens with them in the offseason? As older USL players who got some recognition do they make the first team for RLS? RSL seems to have a youth-centric focus right now and I wonder if that leaves them out in the cold. Do you see another MLS squad needing their talents? How about an expansion team?
Both depend on their contract numbers. They have a lot of push to demand a first team contract at good salaries. The question is if RSL will be the ones to do it or not. I think both could be great depth options for the first team, but I'm not sure that is what those guys want right now in their careers. I seriously doubt we see them in Monarch jerseys again next season. I'm just not sure the change will be to a first team shirt.
When you take a quick glance at this, you would think we weren't the worst of the list. But I'd argue we are. The big salary "misses" are recouped with marketing factors. Dos Santos, Howard, Pirlo, Kaka - these guys aren't just guys on the pitch. Yura is. Yura really doesn't have any marketing power. So, it's likely a tie between Yura and Gashi for worst deal of the year. My personal hatred for Gashi makes me want to give him (and the cRapids) that award. But, ********ing Yura, man.
Playoffs are still going. Player movements like that (moving a player out or bringing a new one in) won't happen until they are done.
Definitely. At some point around a million, further salary becomes driven by marketing concerns. Sometimes that's about USNT performance, sometimes Euro prominence, more rarely for especially promising prospects, and once in a blue moon for absolute MLS dominance. Movsysian is none of these.
Geez, the off season is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo looooooooong. Screw the Holidays, let's get to March.
