Excitement reigns! Sixth seed! D-L-L-D-L-D-L to close out the season, and away to Los Angeles midweek after a road game on Sunday.
We control our own destiny. People just need to step up. We just have to find a way. I'm just sad that I am going to put myself through watching one more game. Oh, and that Cassar is likely coming back.
I think RSL is more like the best of the bad teams, not the worst of the good ones. This is a loss in regulation.
What on earth makes you think that? The only team in MLS who has been worse than RSL since the start of September is Philly, somehow they only managed 2 ties over their last 7 games, we managed a whole THREE ties!
8:30 on Wednesday I'm gonna stay up for this and write a really pissed off post on Thursday morning as I struggle through the day with my coffee
I will be waiting for your insightful commentary devoid of anything that might hurt the RSL FO feelings.
If they don't know what's wrong with this team yet, they're immune enough from criticism that we can't hurt their feelings, nor is there anything which one game against a well-rested Galaxy team can show them. This team may not be as bad as it's worst seven game stretch of the year, but it wasn't wildly out of character. That's closer to the team's quality than sixteen points in seven games, at any rate.
Doesn't look like you'll get your wish. But hey, on the bright side, three more days of the 2016 season to enjoy.
I'm feeling a moral victory (1-0 loss) as Schuler and Sunny and hopefully Beltran toughen up our defense, adding bite and size and speed. You can't spell DelLoy without D-L-L-D-L-D-L.
It's pretty sad to say, but I am actually more interested in restarting the "Off-Season" thread where we talk excitedly about all the players (and coaches) we hope will get the axe than I am about this game. Can we just skip to that? The last thing any of us wants is some false hope. LA needs to smash us 5-0 again and truly set the wheels of change in motion.
I want either a decisive victory that somehow jump starts the team's confidence and leads to a good playoff showing, or a humiliating and demoralizing loss that leads to a massive overhaul. What I can't handle is a fair performance that leads to more marketing spin and no changes.
If RSL loses, I want it to be where multiple Galaxy players pick up red cards so that for their next series, they go down in defeat. Oh, and The Bruce getting a red card for dissent.
Marketing spin and no changes has not proven to be correlated to fair performance this year. In fact I would say that the marketing spin is inversely proportional to the performance. The worse the performance the more spin. I mean good hell they have already offered a contract extension...
