This is one of those games where we'll either get annihilated like 4-1 or the subs will come out and control the game and win 2-0.

I'm going with the 4-1 setback.

and when one team is missing half its roster. hopefully javi is going to be healthy and ready, but i wouldn't risk him on their shit field if he's not 100% without question. if he's not ready to go you might as well play every defender on the roster with one forward and park the bus hoping for a 0-0 draw.

In my mind, this quote was preceded by deep-voiced movie trailer guy saying, "In a world..."

Jean Claude Van Damme stars in the same shitty RSL performance you've seen over and over again this year...

For whatever reason it feels like we do good when we can barely field a team. We'll go on to have a convincing win.

Haven't seen an update. Is Allen expected back? Is Jaime ready for return? If not, I assume Gil up top again and Stertzer in middle with Luke?

Allen is definitely not back, that was in the game preview. Haven't seen anything on Jaime or Morales, but given the shit field I doubt we see either of them anyways.

Yes, I am excited about today's game, though the teasers from the team posted on social media emphasize the excitement of scoring goals. And since we've done that exactly one time in three games this month and have a bunch of our offense missing tonight, it is hard to get motivated on that basis.

We've scored six goals in six games, and are likely to be missing three guys responsible for four of those goals (Morales x 2, Allen, Olave).

I've had a busy week and I've honestly lost track of all of the injuries/call ups. Does this look right?

    Unavailable:
    Sebastian Saucedo
    Chris Schuler
    Joao Plata
    Boyd Okwuonu
    Javier Morales (?)
    Sebastian Jaime (?)
    Justen Glad
    Jordan Allen
    Jamison Olave

If so, how do you make a 4-3-3 (or any lineup) work?

    Starting 11:
    Nick Rimando

    Demar Phillips
    Elias Vasquez
    Aaron Maund
    Tony Beltran

    Luis Gil
    Kyle Beckerman
    Luke Mulholland

    Álvaro Saborío
    Olmes Garcia
    Devon Sandoval

    Subs:
    Jeff Attinella
Lalo Fernandez (just for fun to fill up the 18)
    Phanuel Kavita
    Abdoulie Mansally
    Adolfo Ovalle
    Wellington Paeckart
    John Stertzer

That would be a good XI if only Rimando were not unavailable too.

All this and only five players on the bench: Lalo, Pecka, Mansally, Sandoval, and Kavita.

First time ever dressing 16 players. Ridiculous.

How much does having the Monarchs playing tonight figure into having only 16 players dressed?
Hope Sabo wakes up for tonight's match but I really am not holding my breath.

Man, have we had nothing the past five minutes or so. No possession past midfield.

There's a nice change: very close shot from Luis.

And then headed over the bar from Maund on a header on the corner. Close.

What a gorgeous goal! Scored against us, true, but very well taken by Tierney.

Prediction: we aren't coming back in this one. Maybe we'll score a goal but I doubt that too.
