he he he. yeah. i'm really enjoying your successes. but don't tell anyone from Wednesday... he he he...
Glad to hear mate, I like to see all of the South Yorkshire teams doing well as long as it's not at our expense. My dirty secret is that one of my grandads was a Tyke born and bred. shhh! don't tell anyone. Reading tonight they've been in shocking form... come on Millers we can win this!!! Boro hit us for two early goals at the weekend and then our target man Revell went off injured, the ref sent his replacement off straight red card for practically nothing and it has since been appealed and rescinded. We need to put that game behind us and bounce back if we dwell on losses in this league it'll be a whole lot harder.
Saturday's the big one for the South Yorkshire BigSoccer contingency (a.k.a., you two). by all accounts, Wednesday's midfield have been woeful, and are unable to create anything. Rovrum will be up for it, I'm guessing, eh Myshoe? I'm thinking yours might get something from this one.
I'm not very confident after recent results but we seem to be a Jekyll and Hyde team this season so you never know. Wednesday started the season scoring goals for fun but now can't score to save their lives, their defence has been solid recently though and we are either struggling to score or are scoring and leaving the door wide open at the back. I think we should just bunker down and try to win by the odd goal like we did at the start of the season rather than trying to take the game to Wednesday.
We've got a stadium sponsor, our ground will be known as THE AESSEAL NEW YORK STADIUM starting from Christmas, it's a bit of a mouthful but I suppose we should be happy that we're now able to attract sponsors of their calibre. We need as much income as we can get to be able to compete in this division.
Article: http://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/foot...winning-bet-for-millers-and-aesseal-1-6966629 It looks like we have signed Emmanuel Ledesma on loan as well.
We're in the bottom 3 now, it's starting to look a little bleak we can't score and can't keep clean sheets. If we lose to Blackpool AESSEAL will probably want a refund.
They've sponsored our stadium (naming rights) for 5yrs starting at Christmas. http://www.aesseal.co.uk/en
We've signed a couple of loanees, Reece Jones (LB/LW) from Manchester United and Tom Lawrence (ST) from Leicester City. It's time for our players to pull their socks up after a poor performance against Birmingham, Blackpool will see us as a great opportunity to pick up 3pts.
We also signed Scott Wootton (CB) on loan from Leeds he's ex Man UTD as well, we're practically the miniature Red Devils now. Manchester United connection as Millers sign Tom Lawrence, Scott Wootton and Reece James Steve Evan's has said that he has given the heroes of yesteryear who earned us back to back promotions the chance to step up to the Championship but the table doesn't lie and any necessary changes will be made. Opportunity for Millers new boys as boss Steve Evans looks to future
We outplayed Cardiff from start to finish and still can't score, Revell hit the bar. Tom Lawrence on loan from Leicester is looking promising, hopefully we can keep him all season. We're playing a much more patient/passing game now rather than lumping it to Revell all of the time, we just need to start scoring and pick up a few wins.
Last two games with our new passing style... (as opposed to launching it to Revell and trying to win flick ons) If only we could score we'd be comfortably mid table, we hit the bar in both matches. We've got Wigan, Huddersfield & Blackpool over the Christmas period, we need at least win from them hopefully two!!
We've failed to beat the teams struggling below us all season so I'm obviously delighted with the 3pts today. If we can get another 3-4pts from the next two games it will be massive for our season, we'll look a much more attractive proposition during the January transfer window and hopefully our loanees will want to extend their stay here beyond January.
We really need to sort out our goalscoring this transfer window or it's going to be the reason we go down, we should have had 5-6 goals today on the balance of play. Instead, we missed a penalty, hit the woodwork and squandered countless other chances, then when we finally do get a breakthrough we give a soft goal away just like the home tie. If Blackpool could play us every week they'd probably finish the season with 46pts. I guess I should be happy that we're 6 games unbeaten in a tough league but we need to start picking up wins from winnable games rather than draws.
