feel lucky the games i've been able to see there considering my location. perhaps i'll try for one more but at least i have and am able to look forward to the new one.
Some interesting posts on other forums about Chelsea. Going to leave these here for comment with an article that came out a year ago on the same topic. What say the board? Are we massive drug cheats? Very lucky? Superior training exercises? Kante not a great player on his own merits but a 'drug monster'? Also including a Kante article from the past weekend that's a good read. http://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation....doping-scandal-chelsea-arsenal-leicester-city http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...N-Golo-Kante-s-journey-French-ninth-tier.html
He's always harping on about blood doping. I have no idea. I'm likely naive but I have a hard time thinking this is the case as we have always had injury issues like any other side. Hazard, Costa, Zouma, and TBO have all had long term issues the last two years. Generally we have a deeper squad who can cope with losing someone here and there.
So we're being accused of doping our players so they run longer and faster? Have they seen Fabregas? Drugs don't make Kante's steal/tackling ability better, though. And if you read the history of Kante, his coaches have always praised his ability to keep running. His focus is insane. All he wants to do is ball. He was given opportunties and there you go.
Not just doping, epically doping. There's a difference Kante reminds me of the kid from the year below at school who's invited to the upper year's pick up game at lunchtime and balls the absolute bollocks out of it.
I have read some of Jitty's posts. Every other post is about how top clubs are where they are because of doping. Last year it was Leicester. This year us. Next year City, who knows. It is not like hard work and talent are any such thing.
Good read on our monster Kante. https://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2017/mar/11/ngolo-kante-antonio-conte-chelsea
More and more likely Roman is tied into the Trump dumpster fire. Really upsetting. And no, the below is not simply coincidence. https://www.rawstory.com/2017/03/ja...st-confidants-whose-wife-is-pals-with-ivanka/
Being besties with Putin was already a red flag. Perhaps there is a whole lot more to his immense investment in our club than simply loving football. We shall see though, hopefully it's nothing (probably not nothing).
Poor Michy cant get a minute of playing time. On the bench behind Lukaku for the Greece qualifier; on the bench behind Benteke for today's friendly. No sub appearances.
Very fair question and I've often wondered the same thing, especially as voting ends in late March. My understanding is that after this point you are at the business end of the season which could have a couple of consequences. 1) players are too focused on the game's to even think about matches in September and 2) when the pressure builds, players will potentially place undue weight on the very recent past so this may keep things balanced. These are only possible, I have no inside knowledge. You probably have to go back to the origins and see why the timing was what it was then and history would explain the rest. Football does like its traditions even if they dont make much sense.
