Hey everybody! C10 is down to just 2 members, so we have three spots to fill. I'd love to have some of my fellow BSers on board. We usually just invite people we know when a new seat opens up, but since we have three spots open at the moment, we created an online form for anybody who would like to volunteer. We'll whittle the list down in a couple weeks and invite some people to meet with us in person before deciding who will actually be part of C10. It's a really fun experience in a lot of ways--hauling a big-ass trophy around, going down on the field with the team, and rubbing shoulders with some of the front office staff. We have some fun plans to make the competition much more than it is right now, but we need some good people to help out. If you're interested, please apply and then message me directly so I can match up the name to the application. Let me know if you have questions. Click here to fill out the form
Responsibilities may include any of the following: * Taking the trophy to watch parties when the team is on the road * Taking the trophy to tailgates * Helping with the website and/or social media * Taking the trophy to and from Colorado every year or two * A few organizing meetings each year * Once every year or so, meeting with the front office staff to coordinate plans * Helping with merchandising -- we keep discussing but have never implemented this
This would be fun, but I don't think I would have enough time do dedicate. Plus it would be dealing with people face to face. And as a introvert that cannot happen.
I also agree it looks like it would be fun, but I think time constraints would get in the way for me as well. Also an introvert
I can easily reassure any introverts who might be interested. I'm a safe, friendly person who hovers between Flaming Extrovert and "Give me Five Damn Minutes Alone!" Time constraints I can't speak to, but it's not TOO terrible if we schedule in advance. Two hours a few times a year for meetings, attendance at the RMC games, and an occasional road trip. We'll all split up other stuff, but if we have a good team, nobody will bear a huge burden.
My difficulties are due to working graveyards, which likely limits when I could do any sort of meetings, plus having the kids every other weekend. I feel like I'd be one to commit to this, then wind up not really doing anything during my time. I do have a nice photo somewhere of a bunch of us holding the cup. I want to say it was either the first or second year of moving to section 4, so 2011/2012.
I'm getting a little desperate here, people ... Nobody wants to step up? Looks like I'll be offering it to my friends and family!
