    Actually that almost happened..............

U-23 technicaly isnt a higher division, is an atipycal division that colombia didnt have since 2003 .

Yeah piscis worked with the same basis of player that are available, and that qualify there.

Sub 23 is technically higher in every other confederation and is analyzed as thus. It is true within Colombia we have not had the good fortune of being involved in the SUb 23 category but even so....
...it was not an automatic for Restrepo to be the manager since it took them this long to figure out the best candidate in their mind.
Deserving of the position to me is not the same as being the guy chosen by default due to the federation's low standards.

    wrong argument
Is not higher division... is a Tournament, two different things

You just explained why he is not the best option, that still doesnt change the fact that if you qualify for a Tournament... well you rightfully deserve to play it.

Sub 23 is not the same as Sub 20.

And "deserve" is a game of semantics here. According to me he deserved to be sitting at an office desk.

So according to homies logic, if pekerman would be choosed as coach, he would be demoted from division

Since 2007 that teams quialify to olympics through the u-20 , i qualify them in the same division.

According to my logic if the Federation wanted to add more responsibilities to Pekerman's plate that would not be a demotion. That would just add to his responsibilities.

sub 23 is a rule for the Olimpics a tournament that you have to qualify for by using a u 20 team.

By qualifying for that tournament you earn the right to coach in that tournament...

What you are arguing if he is the correct option or not

    You are just wrong.

Look at Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay over the years. They did not just reward the sub 20 guy that qualified their teams. They evaluated things pragmatically and tried to figure out what was best for the Olympics.

what ?? the succesful example that i had in my head is argentina

and: bielsa qualify them in 2003 and then won it at 2004, batista qualified them in 2008 and won it in 2009.

Is not a "reward" is something you earn by qualifying for it.
    its not rocket science

They did not automatically get the job due to winning or placing second in the qualifying tournament. It was not a given. It made them lead candidates.
    Just like the other examples.

Once again, just because a manager qualifies a team does not mean they earned the right to be in the tournament.

    It is not brain surgery.

mmm they got the job.......dimayor also didnt give him automatically the job.

If you are going to give an example, verify if it happens. Dont change the facts

Exactly. I said by default he was chosen as lead candidate. I never said he was automatically given the job. It took them months to figure out who to place in that managerial role.

You are the one who is changing the facts.

    of course they do....
teams are not "awarded" the right to participate, the coaches and the players (piscis and the U20) need to qualify, make a certain amount of points which he did, therefore he earned the right to participate in the tournament.

The team earned the right to participate in the tournament.
There are cases of managers all the time that qualify to World Cups but don't manage in the big stage.

    Their position is evaluated.

yeah because the federation have the right to appoint and fire coaches based on who they think is the best option (I have no problem with this argument which I agree) but once again regardless of that point; it really doesnt change the fact that you inevitably deserve to play a tournament that you qualified for.

There are many factors why he is not the best option to coach the olimpics, but what it cant be denied is the fact that he deserve to play the tournament, that was my point in the first place.

That is not a fact. That is your opinion.

    The point is not valid.

of course is a fact you deserve to play whatever tournament you qualify for.
the fed can change you based on better options or if they think you wont do a good job, but im not arguing that

I side with homie here and bot because I dislike Piscis. His job was to qualify the team and he did, doesn't make him the man for the next job. Different challenge and candidates should be evaluated on their ability to maximize results on the new job, not reward him for the last one.

forget Picis we will win in spit of him.

What can you guys say about the guys on goals list or about guys they didn't mention. Directv really only shows Junior, Cali, Millos or Nacional play.

Isn't Juan Agudelo of Millos 22? He seems like a great striker to me

    For Defense

    --------------GK?????-------------
Palacios - Mina - Balanta ----LB????
    Roa(Cali) ---- Lerma--------Quintero
    --Izquierdo----Borre ------ Preciado

Maybe too offensive. With all the offensive power this team has would love to see us play 3 in the back like Chile.
