Are things starting to get a little silly now? Singing the Hokey Cokey could land football fans in sectarian bother http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/s...ball-fans-in-sectarian-bother-86908-20989183/
yes they are. but seeing as it's Scotland we probably haven't reached the tip of the silliness iceberg.
for anyone that is getting upset about it, although in all honesty, i don't know anyone who is. have a look at the video and have a laugh.
Writing a paper for school and want to get my facts straight. Rangers are aligned with Protestants and Celtic with Roman Catholics.
Yep, John Knox founded Rangers just after penning the First Blast of the Trumpet and Sinn Fein owns Celtic.
celtic supporters drink blood while the 'rangers man' has unwavering dignity and an almost sexual lust for 'er majesty.
I feel like you're arguing with a child who can gladly tack up posters of McCoist and Findlay on the wall but claim it's not possible for 'gers supporters to be sectarian. Pot meet kettle. There are plenty on both sides that just don't get it.
Nothing of course, but the old firm like to hide behind calling each other sectarian, especially Celtic fans for some reason, IRA songs are alright to sing but Derry's walls isnt for some reason.
Oh man... Is this going to start up again...? Singing songs with sectarian overtones is wrong. Both sets of fans have been guilty of doing it and, as far as I can tell, both clubs have been working hard to eradicate this unsavoury element from our game. Will it ever disappear completely? I very much doubt it. But at least the effort is there. Lets not start a 'they does it more than us argument'...
