We have none, we just sign good young players at a low price before they become too expensive. I really hate that word in football by the way.
Dónde está La Masia? I must say i love change in philosophy. We made some great signings in recent years.
Of course, no one else is allowed to use that word now, it's been claimed by the Cules. You would think they invented the concept of a 'philosophy' in football, but ironically enough they find it difficult to even follow their own.
Illarra had a fantastic season this year, he just couldn't handle the pressure of Real Madrid, but he is a great player. And Jesé was unlucky with his injury.
Pretty much forced to work this way. We've reached our financial limits a long time ago. It's important to sign the new Modric before he signs with Tottenham now.
Hopefully the influx of highly talented midfielders means a lot less 4-3-3. Ceballos/Llorente/Kovacic are a pretty hard working and very creative midfield. The B team should be super exciting to watch.
Call me an idiot but I'm more looking forward to watch the B-team than the A team. The main team isn't that exciting since there's BBC and "static" players like Kroos and Casemiro. Meanwhile B-team: Morata Isco - Asensio - Ceballos Kovacic - Llorente Theo-Vallejo-Nacho-Danilo Casilla
It's a 4-2-3-1, there's no "left wing". That's the left middlefielder position. Ceballos at the right? So what? Modrić plays as the right central middlefielder in the 4-3-3. Why wouldn't Ceballos be able to play it?
Of course they are and they can be played by AMs and not CMs. Besides comparing Modrić`s position in 4-3-3 is fundamentally different than you putting Ceballos on RW. It is deeper and more central.
In 4-2-3-1 the wide players are either wingers or attacking midfielders. Ceballos is a central midfielder, Isco is CM/CAM. A 4-2-3-1 with Ceballos on the right and Isco on the left will never work, they have 0 pace.
It's obvious. Ceballos is the left middlefielder, Isco is the right middlefielder, Asensio is the middlemiddlefielder. Kovacic and Llorente also play middlemiddlefield, but more defensive middlemiddlefield. As opposed to Morata who plays attacking middlemiddlefield. If you can't see that, next you'll be telling me middlefielder isn't a word.
Marco does pretty well coming from that left wing. Even right wing sometimes but more from the left. That formation looked wonky to me.
