Might be Lavolpe's way of sending a message to the club teams.

    ricardo busca bronca?

    Olalde: NO!

No Olalde please. I dont like his style of play.
Are u sure about Rafael Marquez Lugo from Jaguares? He hasnt done much the times ive seen em'. Hierro? please.. Of course El "Pity" will make it, ive been wanting him to get a shot since before the WC, he had about 8 goals for Santos and was Santos Lagunas' leading goal scorer along with Borgetti.

After 4 games here are his stats:

    4GP 1W 2D 1L 3GF 2GA +1

Its not so much the stats, but the style of play that is bothering me and especially his choice of players. He is switching players position when there is no need to. I understand that he hasnt had Torrado and the players from Cruz Azul/Pumas... but he could still pick a good team

I dont think he is the man for the job. Sure he played an attractive style in his clubs, but he has not done anything. 4 games and still nothing to show for.

I think we should releive him of his post and get someone in there.

It is quite difficult to judge Lavolpe at this time. Especially since the Seleccion has faced opponents in Away (Home) games in neutral grounds which has forced the opposing teams to play defensively. However given the fact that Mexico will play all of its Gold Cup games at the Azteca, if he doesnt win this tournament then the FMF should be looking for his replecement.

    :) :)

Exactly which is why I think his reign will last until after Copa America. Mexico has the obligation to win the Copa de Oro playing at home. Brasil won't be sending their top team and the US can't beat Mexico en el Azteca so things look quite good for Lavolpe's group in that tourney. But unless Mexico can find un armador the team will have some trouble down the road. Any prospects on the sub-23 team?

Re: Re: Re: Re: Ricardo Lavolpe

Santiago....he kind of reminds me of Hermosillo but a lot faster and better control of the ball... SO FAR... he is still young. Santiago also has international experience playing in Canada, England, Germany, Holland... he debuted at 17 and is about to turn 18. There are other players in America's reserves and youth teams that have been with European clubs... I saw a report not too long ago about it... Luis Garcia a couple weeks ago during a game was talking about America's young players and how they are looking more to develop than to buy and that the project Teuffer implemented seems to be paying off.. But i think America always got a bad rap about them always buying players and never producing.... thats is very false.. they did produce but was never given credit to

Paco Torres...he is so fun to watch

What I don't like is Lavolpe's players list's. He hasn't called up Emilio Mora or Gerardo Torrado, but keeps calling Jp Rodriguez and Olalde, who suck. He also called Briseño and Osorno, who weren't doing well in the league, just because he knows them. That is a huge mistake. Meza did that thing and it cost him. Aguirre also did the same thing by calling Luis Hernandez and it failed.

The best Tri players should at least be given a chane. Maybe the'll fit the mold. Reminds me of when Lapuente didn't want to call Borgetti, because he didn't fit his game plan and instead called Abundis and Lozano. In the end it was a wrong decision.

He says that Torrado doesn't fit in his team. That is already his first huge mistake. How can you say that Israel Lopez fits in your system and Torrado doesn't ? A system that has Israel Lopez over Torrado is as wrong as they can come.

He has a right to Complain, especially when the results are what matters. Even in "meaningless" friendlies. If the FMF truly wants or expects the National team to improve then they better start allowing more than 3 days of practice.
