Reyna floats a direct free kick in -- goes out for a corner.

Reyna's corner causes some confusion but goes out for goal kick.

Announcers -- "I can't remember a home game as dismal as this"

Do they realize they say this almost every game?

It's a damn shame. This should be just about it for Reid. 3-0 at home is very poor. Reyna needs to go to a better team, I think we weill see him in some friendlies just to get away from Sunderland.

If I had to watch all of them, I'd make damn sure I forgot from week to week, too.

Good thought on all accounts. But I think that Sunderland won't sell him until the end of the season, unless they get more than what they paid. Also, I doubt Reyna will get very many calls so he can have an international break (somebody said that would probably happen after the World Cup was over).

From the Sun's match report (found at http://www.thesun.co.uk/section/0,,3,00.html):

"Claudio Reyna again worked hard to try to inspire his team, but with Sean Davis, Inamoto, Sylvain Legwinski and Steed Malbranque dominating in midfield, even he could not stem the tide which eventually engulfed his side."

Some Sunderland fans are suggesting that they hope they are stuffed by Newcastle so that Reid is fired. Things are that desperate.

I was half heartily suggesting that if Sunderland keep playing like this match he might be looking to play with somebody who can pass the ball.
