Eh. They will right there ship by the summer. Or get the Messi punishment reduced. Fifa wants them in the dance too.

    A man can dream.

I'd hate to see Ecuador come away with nothing after being one of the best teams in the first half of the competition.

Chile was a bit fortunate not to give up a few more goals.
There was one goal that should have counted for Venezuela but it happened so fast the linesman missed it. Goal Line technology should be applied for all qualifiers in the future. FIFA has the money to pay for it.

true but I watched that game and have never seen a team miss more goal opportunities than Chile. I'm talking about CLEAR chances in front of goal.... crazy game. Vzla looks VERY good offensively. Like scary good. They have a young bright future. Their defenders looked no better than my Sunday crew. Awful mistakes. Vzlas GK is the U20 GK

Let's hope that we'll break the curse in Venezuela like we did in Quito. A win there and we'll be in Russia without the playoff.

It would not shock me at all if we lost to Venezuela but beat Brazil like we did in Chile '15.

Just how crazy futbol can be.

or win both, or lose both, or ..........well, who knows ?

Only certainty, which is the same for almost everyone in South America is that next matches will be in August , so we all have over 4 more months to finish eating our nails of what will happen then.
    :p

It would surprise me to see Colombia lose both actually. Especially after the confidence they gained in March.

But the context could change. We shall see.

Not having Messi against Uruguay still hurts though.
Bring out the popcorn cause that is going to be a grudge match for the ages.

Table stays the same for teams in the top 5..... but.... Peru and Paraguay are back to having a chance !!! Winning today would have meant qualification. We need at least a tie against Brazil or the 3 points and qualification. Stuff is super super close now. Going to be uber pissed if Peru or Chile knock us out because of the BS points they were given

    Yes.
Paraguay and Peru have new life due to their good results yesterday but we are still in second place and in prime position with three matches left. Two of those matches at home.
At the very worst we will get 5th and play a horrible New Zealand team so I am not worried.

If you would have told me in 2015 that we would be in second place with three matches left I would have said thank you very much.
So let's keep things in perspective.
