    You do realize that it was not Mexicans who were slaughtered at the Alamo, right?

    Remember the Alamo is not wrong. It is a patriotic slogan of our heritage.

    The yell of Osama is an ignorant rant in support for a terrorist.

    Umm, yes it was. The forces defending the Alamo fought under the Mexican flag, for the Constitution of 1824, against the dictator Santa Anna. They had not declared themselves independant at the time.

    No, they considered themselves "Texians," residents of a state. They were split as to whether they favored independance at that point, but they all hated Santa Anna.

    "Some were for independence, some were for the Constitution of 1824; and some were for anything, just so long as it was a row."

    {Note: I didn't see you'd spelled it correctly, but the principle applies: the difference between "Texians" and "Texans" is that the former term was for a region rather than for a country.}

    You are correct. Texas did not consider themselves to be independent until 01MAR @ Washington on the Brazos yet Texians did not want any part of Mexico or 1824 Constitution for a long time as a matter of fact battles were fought long before The Alamo and Washington on the Brazos. The battle of Gonzales was fought in Sept. of 1835. "Come and Take it"

    Okay.....so they weren't Mexicans, right? I'm pretty sure Crockett, Bowie, William Barrett Travis and Sam Houston weren't Mexican.
