That's a deep article. As Bennett said:

“'I didn’t see any Tea Partiers here' he said, smiling as he headed to his car after the caucus."

When conservative Republicans are scared of the Tea Partiers, you know how ridiculous this whole thing has become.

Was interested to see this from Bruce Bartlett on the Frum story
    http://capitalgainsandgames.com/blog/bruce-bartlett/1601/groupthink-right-would-make-stalin-proud

Since, he is no longer affiliated with AEI, I feel free to say publicly something he told me in private a few months ago. He asked if I had noticed any comments by AEI "scholars" on the subject of health care reform. I said no and he said that was because they had been ordered not to speak to the media because they agreed with too much of what Obama was trying to do.

Does that seem a bit far fetched for AEI or any other "Think Tank"? I don't know.

'Think Tanks' were typically just PR editorial generators.

Well, that is one of their functions, but they also work to shape policy. For most of them, including the AEI, that latter seems to be their primary function.

Now, the Heritage Foundation: Those guys are Op-Ed machines. But they also have policy objectives.

As with most things from the mouths of the Tea Party/GOP it's the opposite of the truth - I believe it's the Tea Party guys who are the actual RINOs, who they're most upset about are the actual republicans :)
But they've taken over completely now, so maybe they're right and all republicans before 2007 are now RINOs in their minds. Doesn't matter really, neither one of them would ever vote non-R.

Or are they just trying to replace the elephant as their mascot with a horned creature?

Is there a 'primary' drinking game? As in, every time you read about
how the TP is going to 'primary' a RINO, you take a shot?

We know how that one ends...

Seems like a safe assumption. And, a good memory you have there.
