I wish him well in his new team. Hopefully he'll turn around from his current career slump.

Dude is so terrible that bottom-of-the-table Swansea want to send his sorry ass back to Munich and terminate his loan. He also can't pay for two clubs at once.

Where are the SLB dick riding apologists at?

I always thought he was over-rated even in the Euro, other than the goal (which was deflected) he only provided a few good surges in counter attacks but lost the ball too much.

I guess he's the Quaresma of the 2010's...

If he comes back to Benfica he will change

His coaches are not compatible with him

He's been bad. Portugal needs him. It's too bad. Get him to Benfica in January

He's not being allowed to loosen up like he was at Benfica. He's the type of player that excels when he freelances.

He's a bad fit anywhere outside of Portugal.

Ancelotti was one of the worst possible coaches he could have had. Heynckes would be 100% better but he needs his groove back. Go back to Benfica. Hell, go to Sporting or Porto. IDC. Fix it before it's too late.

I still believe he’s a good player but he’s been atrocious at Swansea. He needs to go back to benfica or like someone else has said.. he’s going to be this generations Quaresma

The kid needs to go to Rio Ave or Estoril to get back to the basics.

Back to back 90 minute games for Renato. Player of the match (for Swansea) last time around.

Can’t just have your negativity in this thread. Guys played well the last two games. Let’s hope he builds on it. Having Carvalhal is obviously paying dividends for Renato

It actually looks like he’s played his last game for Swansea, had an awful attitude when he came off and his teammates don’t like his attitude either

He has to go back to Bayern, get sold back to benfica and then get loaned out to a Portuguese side or else he won’t find his form until he’s reached his 30s like Quaresma did

He can only play for Swansea or Bayern this year. He can't play for 3 teams in the same season, and he played for Bayern in August.

Ahh yes of course, not looking good either way at Swansea. The fans don’t like him and it wasn’t actually an injury that forced him off, he stormed off the pitch in a sulk after putting a free kick over the bar

Things are not looking good for Renato. I still think Carvalhal could help him improve unless the Swansea board has seen enough.

    welp I've seen enough. He's a bust.

Quaresma (with much less skill) part 2. Could have been a decent player with the right attitude but he is in his own world. He has a Portuguese league title and a Euro so it was a pretty great career.

The good news is that from rock bottom, with the right attitude he has the opportunity to take some time and make a quaresma like come back (with much less skill) and be the feel good story of Euro 2028

Sure. This was just another marketing ploy by Benfica. He doesn't win that league title if Benfica doesn't send emails to delegates and officials, match fix games and pay players to lose. There was never anything about this dude that made him such a bonafide lock for success. Great game against Poland, but that was about it.

No colinho, no party. No emails, no party. Benfica single-handedly created and ruined is career all within a span of 2 years.
