If Zaldivar doesn't work out as a striker we could always try him out at CB. Bring back Maza to mentor him after he retires. :coffee:

Wow, how excited would you guys be if Chivas managed to pull this off?

I honestly would take back almost every bad thing I've said about the people who run Chivas if they brought us Pulido, he's the perfect striker for our system.

I'm actually fine with how our team is shaping up if they get a 9. We are in desperate need of a striker. I didn't like that we sold El Dedos to Pachuca just because he had one bad season. He should have stayed and let him fight it out with Chapo.

I'm also thinking that Almeyda is bringing up some players to fight for a spot on the left and right back positions as we have noone there to push Ponce and Chapo.

    We need pulido bad.

Dedos asked to leave the team. He showed he wasn't mentally strong and gave up after one season of losing his starting spot to CHAPO. We have no need for players who think they have a divine right to start and will throw a fit and leave the team instead of fighting to get their starting spot back.

Looks like Pachuca "won" the Draft. They have a solid team and took a few more upcoming youngsters with them, setting themselves up for either a solid base in the future or to sell them to Europe if they end up doing well. Chivas did ok with this mini alliance with Grupo Pachuca by picking up Gallito and Bueno on loan with option to buy, but they should have been out there doing business with others as well.

Although Chapo did well last season, I hope he doesn't go back to his old form now that his main competition is gone.

Nope, it's because he's injured and won't be cleared to play until late August. It sucks for him because if he wasn't injured he would be a Chivas player right now.

Zaldivar's link up play and able to play the poste role is better than what Vazquez and Bravo can offer..Chivas has more options in the attack.. I think he had like 4 assists and a goal. Hes promising but we need a better striker or else his development will be slow or stagnate if they have that tronco and Bravo coming from the bench.

I'm not a big fan of him to be honest, 7 goals in 53 games is mediocre but I hope he proves me wrong and becomes a great striker for us if we don't sign Pulido. We have the personnel to create loads of chances but we currently don't have a player that can finish them on a consistent basis. Here's hoping him and Bueno breakout this coming season.

    -----Pereira-----Salcedo
    Chapo-------------------Edwin
    ------------Gallito
    -------Orbelin----Gullit
    Chofis-----------------Brizuela
    ------------Zaldivar

Only changes would be Alanis for Salcedo if he leaves. Also I honestly believe that Chofis is ready to be a starter this season he's too good to be left on the bench.

Also I'm worried about our right back situation when is that kid I think his name is Javier Cortes who had a brilliant U-17 WC gonna be ready for the big leagues? He should be 18-19 right now.
