All right, hadn't seen one yet, so here it is...
What's your prediction for the outcome of this weekend's game?

I think it will be 2-2. Some offensive fireworks for everybody.

Kreis, Pope (on a corner by Williams) and "Lazer" Luke (assisted by Rojas) score with the Metro's focused on Cletus...

    Metro's net one goal

    RSL 3-1

I am glad you are hoping for RSL to win. But what logic would lead you to believe a second rate MLS team like the MetroStars would beat RSL with all their starters?

    No logic at all.

Welcome to MLS, home of top notch Ref's  and a wonderful expansive plateu of parity.
    Anything is possible.
Watch out for Amado in the box, he puts on a swim cap and swan dives, nearly puts Ruiz to shame really.

Of course, anything can happen. But when you have no quality forwards and expect offense only from your mids, how far can you go?
I say Pope beats Agoos. :)

Remember this game is probably going to be played in torrential rain.

The Metros don't have the momentum from a good offseason, either.

I see a tie, or RSL by a goal.

    You're not kidding! From weather.com:

    Heavy Rain High
    50° F

    Precip: 100%

A steady rain. The rain will be heavy at times. Thunder possible. High around 50F. Winds ESE at 20 to 30 mph. Rainfall may reach two inches.

Wolyniec scores one of his typical hustle goals near the start of the 2nd half.

But Pope channels his game winner of the '96 cup final in the torrential rain and ties it in the 85th minute off a Williams corner.

1-1 draw for RSL's first ever match.

Hopefully the rain won't keep the fans away so that we have some good atmosphere. It looks like it may get ugly there tomorrow though.

I hope its 3-0 to RSL that way the metroSCRUBS can kick off their season with their first of many bad results to come........help MLS fold that abortion in NJ by kicking them straight into another bad season..
