The last half and hour was way to shaky but a win is a win.

    Subs were garbage.

This was a perfect game to bring Vini, but nooooooooooooooooo

    3 points is 3 points.

We could have easily conceded a stupid last 5 minute goal last season and drop more points.

A win is a win is a win.

Except without Vin it's less of a win.

    I'll grab my hat.

we've played very well up until the 70th minute mark then Lopetegui's subs happened, we lost all semblance of control with Lucas coming for Ceballos who was a constant outlet for passes and kept it moving while resisting any type of pressing from Espanyol.

Honestly I never want to see Lucas subbed in again. He brings nothing at all anymore.

I would take the 3 points, but there is work to be done. Lots of it.

Sevilla, Atleti and then away to Moscow in our next 3 games. Would be nice to go perfect in this stretch

How the hell does Lucas play for RM? Always seems like we gotta have a Pavon every once in a while.

Wow what a giant waste of time this game was. The entire team just playing like passengers. Insane how a team can play so incredibly well 3 days ago, and look so listless today.

I feel like he lost his motivation. Maybe because he sees now that he’ll never be a starter here. Maybe it’s time for him to move on.

Nervy finish to the game. Glad we got the 3 points.
I liked what I saw from Ceballos and Llorente in the time they were given.

People and their over exaggeration, we played a very good 70 minutes today, hardly what anyone could call bad, the last 20 minutes were shaky but we still created many chances.

if i didnt watch the game i'd think that we were played off the park today.

Barring a couple errant crosses, I thought Odriozola was fantastic in his debut. Made multiple big tackles, was a constant speed threat down the right flank. He knows how fast he is and that lets him hold onto the ball, get around players, and make space. Lots of composure under pressure.

Courtois with a solid day albeit he still needs some distribution work.

Team press is great but it’s physically taxing on the players who are gassing out last 20-30 minutes

We’re going to see a lot of rotation this season

TBF to the team, they haven't had much time to rest, first the freaking yearly international break and then a Wed./Sat. combo. I'll get the three point and run.

P.S. Could only catch 5 mins of the match, and that was when we scored.

Second half got me thinking about Mariano and Junior on the field at the same time.
