I know it's not an investment like Re-Dooping. But with Coach Local returning I'm really debating whether MLS Live is worth the money since I don't watch other teams.

It's only worth it if they show the red-headed assistant coach again, thinking it's JC.

I have increased from 2 seats to 4 for next season. To each his own. . .

That might be one of the highlights of the season.

Yeah, my rep talked to me about it too. You can pay the regular amount now, but they'll let you try and sell it on Stub Hub for 9% more later. It's their nine year promotion. Get it?

No deal. The price is what it is. I did move one row up in order to get 4 seats together.

It's like a Gallagher show. Closer you get, more likely you'll need a plastic poncho to keep the mess off you.

I dropped mine on Saturday. Being an out of towner, this is a HUGE deal for me. I just don't see the point in spending 60? bucks to watch Jay Simpson make me feel stupid and angry for watching him suck next year. If by a miracle the U get competent over the offseason, I'll catch the occasional game on ESPN, FS1 and my local DC/NoVa soccer bars.

As a bonus, the MLS Live rep on the phone was super nice about it and even laughed when I asked him to go up to Donny Garber's office and call him an asshole.

MLS Live has the rest of the league to thank for my money, because it certainly isn't the Union bringing me back.

Getting to watch a bunch of TFC and Atlanta matches, along with the late night Cascadia affairs has been worth it to me.

If you're not an overall fan of the league, though, it is certainly not worth the money (and frustration) for just the Union matches.

I’m a fan of the league, but I think I’m more of a $30 fan of the league, not $60.

    I’m just cheap.

Late to the party on this, but the train station is something that would never happen, even if the ownership group had deeper pockets and was willing to spend. SEPTA doesn't run diesel and, to my knowledge, there's no catenary in the locations that are being discussed. Why anyone would think SEPTA would be interested in going to the trouble of acquiring the trackage rights and throwing up a mile of catenary to service a stop that would see traffic eight months a year every other week for a few hours is beyond me.

I'm not a RR engineer, but I agree your proposal is not feasible.

However, I think more realistic solution would be adding a stop on the Wilmington/Newark line at Engle or Reaney Streets as their distance on foot to TES would be less than 0.4 miles (currently the closest stop is Highland Ave., over 1 mile away on foot). This should be coupled with adding trains to/from Center City (preferablly express) that are timed with Union games.

There are still lots of obstacles, like adding a stop to an existing elevated track and the fact that Septa shares the Wilmy/Newark line with Amtrak, so their will be A LOT of red tape to cut through. But at least this option requires no new track or infrastructure other than the new station, just coordination of train schedules on game days.

Good point. It's such a small percentage of fans taking the train. It's good that they have the shuttle but the shuttle isn't exactly packed every trip from the station. That said, if they're going to rely on people driving, the lots should be paved by now.

Finally though of a way to express my decision to re-doop. Ad Finem Fidelus.

    STH account manager:
Stop right there, I gotta know right now, before we go any further!
Do love me? will you re-doop forever?
Do you need me? Will you never leave me?
Will you make me so happy for the rest of the day?
Got your credit card out, are you ready to pay?

    Me/Meatloaf:
Let me sleep on it, baby, baby
    Let me sleep on it.
Let me sleep on it and I'll give you answer in the morning.

I gotta know right now, will you re-doop forever?

    Let me sleep on it.

    Will you re-doop forever?

I couldn't take it any longer
    Lord I was crazed
And when the feeling came upon me
    Like a tidal wave
I started swearing at my scarves and there goes my raise
That I would re-doop to the end of time
That I would re-doop to the end of time
I swore that I would re-doop to the end of time!

So now I'm praying for the end of time
    To hurry up and arrive
'Cause if I gotta spend another dollar on you
I don't think that I can really survive
I'll never break my promise or forget my vow
But God only knows what I can do right now
I'm praying for the end of time
It's all that I can doop, doop, do
Praying for the end of time, so I can end my time with you!!

It was long ago and it was far away
And they were so much funner than they are today.

(Apologies to the the original lyricist James Dixon Barnes)

Single-ply summer scarves, M&Ms, and coupons for Brazillian steakhouses don't do it for you?

I really don't care. Don't send me a package, let me load my STH cards onto my phone and spend the saved money on a player.

Bless your heart. Let’s be real those savings would go to a better helicopter lease.
