So we've got crowds below 20,000, an ever revolving hostile boardroom and nobody really knows who is in charge. But surely this is it? With the crowd dropping so dramatically it will have an effect on finances and could it end up driving all of these cretins out? It will be interesting to see what happens over the next 5 months. The way forward for Rangers has got to be fan ownership. Got to be.
I'll never get to the stage of wanting Rangers to lose but I'd like to see McCoist leave and get in a young manager with progressive ideas. Mind you I would like to have seen that 3 years ago along with owners with a long term strategy.
I'd be straight after Ian Cathro. I don't think the people in charge, whoever they are, have any clue about putting in a long term plan or adopting a playing style.
Latest rumours suggest Super Al has been given notice of which players will be leaving in January and next summer hence his kindness in tendering his resignation (one year in advance) unless of course he receives a suitable pay-off before then. As you suggest, another mess really...
It's not getting any better ---- BBC Sport understands Rangers will reject Ally McCoist's letter of resignation. Most of the board are currently in London, no talks planned.— BBC Sportsound (@BBCSportsound) December 12, 2014
Yes, but if he has offered his resignation in twelve months time they cannot reject it either can they...? Isn't that when his contract is up...?
I've no idea how the contract is set up. Maybe they are trying to force him to give up the 12 months worth of payment he is due?
God only knows. One things for sure, announcing all of this hours before an important game away to QotS is bonkers. As @JasonMa mentions above I'm sure the QotS fans are over the moon with this.
Dennis Wise? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30461961 What next? Joe Kinnear? Someone take me out the back and shoot me please.
So McCoist hands his notice in and is now working his 12 month notice period and his wages go up 50%. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30475395 What a farce.
We're getting into strange situations now. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30486272 Am I behind the SFA on this? Yes. Does Ashley have something to answer for? Yes it looks like it. But I don't know how you prove he has broken any rules. What are the club being punished for? Looks like the fans are going to be punished again which does not seem right at all. I'd like to see the SFA getting behind us and help us sort out the club. It seems like such a complex situation.
Derek Llambias named CE at Rangers. So Ashley is effectively in charge of the club and he owns less than 10%. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30545231
As mentioned about a month ago. It was fairly obvious for us all to see and yet no one bothered doing a damn thing about it. Although to be fair the RST did voice strong concerns over it. In other news (just to cheer me up) ---- http://www.thedailymash.co.uk/sport...angers-manager-for-all-eternity-2014121893898
I can't really see who he has broken company law though. I'm no expert though. Saw that the other day.
