I know no club has ever won the Champions League (since it's name and formula change in 1992/1993) twice in a row. But I was just wondering if Eto'o would be the first to get the trophy twice in a row if Inter win? or did any other player change club from one champion to another?

    Piquè did it last year.

Paulo Sousa in 96 and 97.

    Probably some other players too.

Desailly won with Marseille in 93 and Milan in 94.

He may have been in the CL squad and received a medal, but for me he didn't really play a significant enough roll to be credited with a win.

    You mean with United??

He wasn't a starter, but I recall him scoring against Roma...worthy medalist, imo.

Another bit of trivia should Inter win:

Walter Samuel already has a winner's medal from the Copa Libertadores (2000 Boca Juniors) and would join four others (that I know of) to have won both the Libertadores and Champions League:

    • Dida (97 Cruzeiro / 03, 07 Milan)
    • Roque Júnior (99 Palmeiras / 03 Milan)
    • Cafu (92, 93 São Paulo / 07 Milan)
    • Carlos Tévez (03 Boca Juniors / 08 Manchester United)
