3G lied to everybody because the team he is responsible for putting together sucks, his on field tactics suck, and his personnel managment sucks.

Berhalter is lying to maintain his job. He has no answers to the team's problems. He presents cute power point presentations of ifs and buts, yet the standings and facts eviscerate every single one of his arguments.

Berhalter is lying so he doesn't look as listless as he is.

I have no doubt Precourt was elated with the orations of almighty, highly recommended, and highly touted 3G. Precourt is a moron who is just happy he has toy to play with. VROOM! VROOM!

While I agree mostly with the above, I still feel 3G has earned the right to be given the opportunity to right the ship. I've already written off 2016, and he's got the first 10 of 2017 before I sharpen my pitchfork and start cooking up the tar.

I think I'm in the exact same spot. First 10 games of next year, don't let him anywhere near the summer transfer window if he's garbage. That gives a new coach roughly 6-8 weeks to check out the squad and decide who he wants to keep. This year is pretty rough though. A few more TFC style ass whoppings and I might be ready for him to leave this season.

Question I wish I thought of before the event...

Is it true that internally the club refers to a point earned when out possessing the opponent, or having more XG than the opponent, or when blowing a lead at home...a "PowerPoint?"

    True this.
Finishing 1st or 2nd would be acceptable. Just making, barely making and being in the worst playoff position is ok if you have zero bar or you are perennially a bottom dweller.

Yeah, I'm changing my vote in the realist fan poll after that.

Which makes it even funnier that the team invoiced me for playoff tickets today.

To think that the last time we sang "we don't need the playoffs, we got beer" Untappd didn't exist.

^ funny. This does remind me though how much I love our new logo. Shoot, I will even, just for today, re-give AP tons of credit for ditching the old logo. I hated the original, embarrassing logo and wanted a redo from the moment it was created. Given that many liked the old logo, either because of tradition (the downside of tradition, frankly) or because there was something wrong with them, it took some guts to make a difficult but needed change. Props AP.

Is it possible there is a lesson in there somewhere?
