I'm not. Sales are not what they wanted them to be. Footyheadlines is wrong about that. I literally just placed the order last week.
The puma one looks more like a replacement for the evotouch than the evospeed but I guess it's supposed to be both.
The new Evospeed in blue color limited for few Japanese stores according to few people on twitter. Below is the 17.2 version I believe. Nice looking cleat.
- Puma ONE doesn't look like a speed boot, by any means. So, won't replace evoSPEED. - There's a new evoPOWER to be released soon. So, won't replace evoPOWER. That leaves the evoTOUCH as the only option. or, Puma ONE won't replace any silo, and it'll be a 4th silo, which I doubt.
I don't think the King is an active silo anymore, they're just releasing some limited editions for sale, not for the pros. It's like the Gloro with adidas.
of course, you're right, but we're talking about the high-end silos here, the ones that get updated with new colours and models and upgrades.
Evotouch didn't seem to have much of a marketing identity. Looked like a regular leather boot with a collar, which means it probably failed to target any one audience.
I'm not a pro, but I like to wear high-end boots... ... and yes, I love the Kings... ... and evopowers...
Well it seems the trend is moving away from ultra lightweight boots. Adidas has done it already it. Now likely puma too. It makes sense though considering the materials these days already make boots lights even though they aren't traditional speed boots. For example the evopower; it a power boot that is extremely lightweight. A boot like the evopower 5-10 years ago would have been heavier than it is today. Being lightweigt isnt as incredible as it used to be so brands like puma and adidas are finding other ways to sell boots. The exception is the Nike mercurial line. Those boots are just too popular with players for them to change too much
Has anyone tried on the Vigor yet? How does it compare to the EvoSpeed? Looks like it could be similar to the v1.06?
I've tried on the sample when I was doing orders for the store. It's softer and feels a little bit wider. The fit is really good too. I wouldn't say it's similar to the v1.06, just different. Material is softer than the v1.06
Vigor looks comfy, but the design looks more like a proof of concept than a final product. And honestly, that doesn't really surprise me with every brand trying to reinvent the idea of what a boot should be. If you would've shown me this, the Magista, or a Purechaos/ctrl a decade ago I'd have probably thought you were nuts, so wtf do i know...
I'll be picking up the release color anyway, Puma have always fitted me nicely and i'm hoping the Vigor makes it even more comfy in fit.
I'm about ready for the next trend. New Evopower only adds to my belief that all boots look pretty much the same these days.
