The club is very strange when handing out these extensions. If a player does not want to compete for a spot they can leave .. Kroos has been declining fast and it is incredible that Flo and JAS, who is apparently in charge of this, do not see it. Watch us give Varane an extension next . We were bad before, it's just that we played vs teams that struggle to stay in first division football instead of CL level teams. If Carvajal gets destroyed by 32 year old La Liga nobodies what did people assume would happen when he's facing Bernat and Di Maria?
Flo put him there when he could have gone after other managers like Pochettino, Allegri, Conte .. Solari didn’t have to get fired mid season and planning for a new manager would have been more ideal . That is all on Flo. I always had the opinion that Zidane was his last card
I disagree we looked good in our 4 previous games this year, usually not for a full 90 but regardless of the opponent we were doing the right things and it looked like we were heading the right direction. Yesterday’s result was terrible but I still think we can turn it around, it’s one game, if we perform like this against Sevilla and Atleti then I’ll start to really worry.
I think Lucas was a good player to have two years ago.. he could even play Full back and do it well back then. He has regressed big time same as Carvajal and Varane which is very strange because these guys are still relatively young. Carvajal was simply awful yesterday. He could not make one good single pass..
We were ok against average and below average teams. Nothing to be hopeful about. PSG were our first decent opposition, and they showed us our true level. Sevilla is another decent opponent, so I expect another tough night as is customary in Pizjuan. The team in its current state cannot compete with the better teams in both la liga an CL, anyone with a modicum of sense can see that.
Dont want to spoil your day but this was the first team that can actually play well we were up against. These draws were really bad as well and letting a 3-0 win against a football dwarf almost slip true our fingers isn't exactly well done either.
Meh over the last few years we had more difficulties going to stadiums like Celta’s or Villarreal’s than the Park des Prince, im not saying is the team is doing amazing but let’s give credit where it’s due we were doing somethings right.
